I chose this when I recycled my old packaging with back 2 mac. It is more like a lustre, buildable, glossy, short lasting power and definitely drying. The colour is obviously coral on me (Nc30). I would not repurchase because of how easily it wears off and is drying at the same time, and the colour isn’t that flattering.

This is my favorite summer lipstick. I’m about nc20 so light with very yellow undertones, but I have a lot of blue in my lips so they’re cool toned. Most of the time nude lipsticks they make me look like a corpse because they are more often cooler toned than not, but then I learned that something warm with peach in it would counteract the blue tones in my lips. Now I have the perfect nude that goes great with everyday makeup. However…
I took off two lippies for a few reasons; the formula is drying, it doesn’t last very long unless I use some kind of primer which detracts from the glossiness, and the last biggie is that MAC still tests on animals. I could put up with the first two things if they didn’t but there you have it. I found out that they had to start testing again when they broke into the Chinese market where the law requires testing. Womp womp.

This is one of my most reached for mac lipsticks, because it is comfortable and easy to wear everyday- I don’t need to use a mirror for application. On me, I prefer this to a classic nude, because it brightens my face while I find that brown/beige tones really wash me out. It relatively sheer, and the colour is very close my my lips naturally but it adds some peach/coral tone. I really like how this looks when I am wearing light blue especially.

Absolutely beautiful peachy nude giving the perfect colour that I have been looking for forever….however 2 lippies off as it really doesn’t last on the lips and it broke after the first week. Admittedly I do live in a hot climate, and I did manage to ‘stick’ it back together (kind of!!) using some technique on YouTube!! Still looking for HG lippie 🙁

I’m on a natural, neutral kick and this works well for that. It’s a cremesheen but performs like a Luster. It’s quite sheer and builds up some. Shiny like a gloss, not frosty. Longevity isn’t great but I don’t care about that for this kind of every easy to reapply lipstick.
It’s a muted orangey nude. More orange than Patisserie. It makes Peach Blossom look pink. Maybe lighter muted Ravishing. I do wish it was a little brighter. I think I got with with the expectation that it would be a toned down version of Razzledazzler (which is how the swatch on my hand looked) but it’s waaaay more orange and muted than that.
This is a good throw in your purse, don’t need a mirror to apply, goes with most anything type lipstick. It’s too orangey to a be a MLBB but it’s close.

Picked this up as a Back2MAC thanks to all the great reviews. It’s a beautiful daytime nude and I love the color. Unfortunately, the Cremesheen formula doesn’t work for me. It applies unevenly, lasts less than half an hour and, oddly, is incredibly drying on my lips (although it has a lovely gloss when first applied). I need to exfoliate and moisturizer my lips after wearing this. Too bad–it’s a perfect color.

My favorite nude lipsticks when it comes to pink nudes. This color is a muted, peachy-pink, medium beige, nude. Kind of hard to describe exactly the color but it has a little bit of everything all while still being warm toned.
I have tan skin with yellow undertones(MAC NC40-42) and it is difficult to find a pink nude that isn’t too light yet a pink that doesn’t end up in the mauve/rose/dusty rose criteria, and a peach nude that isn’t orange on my lips and this is THE perfect middle.
It goes with everything effortlessly; Smokey eye, natural eye, every blush color I own, and all outfits. It’s not at all brash and super bright yet it is not a nude lipstick that just disappears and washes me out. It is creamy, satin/creme finish, and has decent staying power. Smells like vanilla!
Shanghai Spice is such an underrated lipstick from MAC and in general comparing with all other brands. There are not many dupes for this lipstick; it is a unique color that performs well! I hope MAC never discontinues this!

One of my all-time favorite lipsticks. It’s simply ravishing and doesn’t come off dry. Works as good day or night.

If I want to make my lips look neutral and clean without looking too pale, MAC Shanghai Spice is my go-to color. Just the right sheen too, especially if you wear this at work. This color shall also be useful for a first date, meeting the parents, first day at work, etc., when you need a color that isn’t hard to maintain.
Best paired with MAC Boldly Bare lip liner! While it does not stay for too long, it is really pretty while it lasts.

This neutral pink/peach/nude is described on the website as frosted but the shimmer is really subtle. This is a natural lip color, a bit more brown than Bobbi Brown’s Pale Pink, but the same sort of everyday lip. The Cremesheen Pearl texture is very moist, so lips stay soft but it does not last as long as the drier Matte or Satin textures MAC offers, so be prepared to reapply. Nevertheless I gave this 5 lippies because lipstick is so subjective – some people don’t like Mattes because they are drying and crave a glossier feel, which this has. I had trouble reading the name of the color due to the fact that the SA had scribbled over it with a Sharpie (it was a Back to MAC), but luckily came up with a positive ID at the tester counter so I can purchase another someday. I’m glad they didn’t discontinue this because it’s such a great basic nude shade. As with all MAC lipsticks, I like the trace of vanilla scent. I love some of Dior’s lip colors but their fragrance holds me back. This MAC lipstick retails for $16, which is less than many other department store brands. Shanghai Spice is a home run for summer.
