A good throw in your handbag lipstick. Great nude colour though it does come up more mauve on me but I still love it. I’ve been using this since 2007 as my workhorse every day natural lippie when I need to feel made up without looking over the top.
Love the signature scent and how creamy/shiny/moisturising it is. Only negative is how quickly it wears off but reapplying is no biggie for me, plus I’m sure it would last longer if I used a lip pencil.
Packaging is typically good old gold and looking dated by today’s standards but a non issue for a fantastic staple natural shade.

Nice light sheer lipstick to wear on a natural day. Perfect for summer to slip in your purse. not a holy grail but worth checking out. works well to layer over matte lipsticks as well.

I have been on the natural-but-better look kick since having my first child in 2004. I have found this is a very good shade for me. I am a fair/light-skinned brunette with light brown eyes and this looks very natural on me, perfect for daytime and anytime I want my lips to just look good without looking made-up. This goes very well with the Cover Girl Outlast Smoothwear lipliner in Nude, which I am currently out of and am a little panicked that I won’t find it again, lol. For those of you that have the same coloring as me but want your lips a little deeper color, the color Sienna in this same L’Oreal lipstick is great too.

I have found my perfect everyday lip color! <3 This lipstick is not only beautiful but moisturizing and inexpensive – LOVE! The shade 'SILK' no.852 is stunning. On my lips it shows up as a rich mauve-y nude shade that is about 2 notches deeper than the color of my bare lips. Consistency is awesome, very creamy rich and smooth. Like buttah bebeh, hehe! Packaging is the usual frosted gold-toned case w/the reflective gold top and band across the middle – nothing particularly appealing, but personally I don't mind it. Scent is very distinctive, same as all L'Oreal lipsticks, which I happen to LOVE. (don't ask me why! lol) I love finally having a lipstick that I can just throw in my bag and apply wherever, whenever, w/out having to whip out a mirror or go to the restroom! It's something I've been on the hunt for for ages it seems, and I've just never before been able to find a product that suited me. (Until now!) Hallelujah L'Oreal!
