I purchased this lipstick in Honeyed Blossom, because of a Covergirl ad in the store where this color was portrayed as a light dusty pink with hints of lilac. The actual shade is light baby pink with no lilac, which is alright- I still like the color. However, the formula is one of the worst I have tried. The formula is slick and immediately settles into lines on my lips and slips everywhere, like I have oil on my lips (but somehow it makes my lips look patchy, too). I returned this immediately and will not try any other colors from this line. I love CoverGirl makeup but this lipstick is not for me. I enjoy cremes, satins, mattes, and sheers in other brands. I don’t even know what formula this is supposed to fall under because it performs like nothing I’ve worn.

Much to my surprise, this is a very creamy, comfortable lipstick. I never have to worry about layering a balm underneath because this stuff keeps my lips hydrated all day long. I have Honeyed Bloom (pale, slightly warm pink) and Tantalize (cool-toned berry) and both are lovely colors! I have to say, though, that Honeyed Bloom is not as pigmented and sinks into the lines of my lips throughout the day, so I don’t think I’d repurchase that color. My kingdom for a pale pink that goes on opaque!

Pros:
Pretty shade (Succulent cherry)
Would look great on any skin tone
Cheap and not expensive
Cons:
Color doesn’t last very long
Doesn’t last through sweat or heat or even through the day

This review is only for shade 375 Coquette Orchid, which I purchased at Target for $5.99. The bottom of the tube makes this look like a medium plum shade with a bit of shimmer. Coquette Orchid turned out to be a very frosty pink lipstick with only a hint of violet, and it is nothing like the plum shade I expected. The bullet itself is creamy and smooth, with the typical play dough scent, but the only use I can find for this shade is to occasionally highlight the center of my lips over another matte plum lipstick shade. I wish Cover Girl would indicate the formula of their lipsticks (frost, matte, satin, cream, metallic, etc.) on the bottom of the tube to prevent this kind of unpleasant surprise.

I picked up the shade coffee crave #275. It’s a metallic nude lippie with a brown rosy undertone. Wear time is about 3 hours and it’s slightly drying on the lips. I’ve had a CG lippie a before and never had an issue with dryness but then again none of them were metallics but creme shades. I definitely wouldn’t repurchase this particular formula again as the drying aspect made wear time kinda painful. Such a shame because the shade is gorgeous.

Bought this in Sultry Sienna, I adore the brownish pinky nude shade, it’s very flattering and makes my lips look more full. The lipstick itself applies very smooth and even, colour is quite saturated, the finish is satin and comfortable. Wear time is about average (a few hours). Love this shade and would repurchase.

I bought this in 245 Honeyed Bloom, thinking it would look like a soft pink mauve, based on what the bottom of the tube looks like.
It turned out to look like a traditional baby pink, which is fine, but I was hoping it would more closely resemble what it claims to look like. I wonder if that’s just a fluke with this shade, or if Cover Girl lipsticks are not true to their color claims in general.
Also, the lipstick has a scent that I don’t particularly care for, sort of like waxy old roses, if that makes sense. I don’t see why it’s necessary to incorporate such an off-putting smell.
I’m giving it 3 stars despite this, because it’s a pretty color and the quality is decent, so I’ll finish the tube eventually. Would I repurchase? No, because there are other drugstore brands with lipsticks for the exact same price that are better quality and without the strange scent.

I unequivocally love this stuff. I received 325-Spellbound in my Target Beauty box in April of 2016 and it definitely made the box worth it. In the tube, it looks like a rosy pink, but on my NW10-15 skin with fairly pigmented lips it comes off as a hot pink. Yet it is completely wearable, even during the day. As much as I happen to love the color, I want to rave about the formula since this is a general review.
It falls between matte and satin in texture, avoiding the bleeding you can get with satin lipsticks and the dryness of mattes. But the real reason I love it is the lasting power. It reminds me of traditional lipstick for the first hour or two, with some transfer during drinking and such, but it transforms into more of a stain after a few hours, with no transfer. But it still looks like lipstick, not like a stain. It keeps nearly full pigmentation without awkward fading in the center of my lips or around the edges. What little fade there is happens evenly. This can take me through at least two meals and the drinks in between without needing touch-ups. And touch-ups are super easy when needed because this layers no problem. I keep reaching for this because it is a great lipstick to put on and not have to think about for the rest of the day.

I bought this in the shade 318 Eternal Ruby. The bottom part of the tube has the lipstick color, and it looked like a saturated pink-red. Unfortunately, on me (fair skin with freckles, blue eyes, auburn hair) it comes off as a bright, hot rose pink. It’s not a bad color, but it’s not what I was expecting. It applied completely smooth and opaque, and has a typical “lipstick” smell with no taste. However, I’ll be returning it. This stains your lips so well, I could still see color the next day when I woke up. But it’s uneven, and when I wore it for a full day, it wore off in the corners of my mouth and looked odd. I paid just under $6 for this at Walmart, but there are better lipsticks I could get for that price.

This lipstick is amazing ! It’s long-lasting but isn’t overdrying at all! I have it in color Hot Chaleur 305! I used to use Maybelline Color Sensational “on fire red”in the past ! And last week decided to try Cover girl. What a huge difference ! Cover girl stays on my lips after couple of meals without over drying ! I reapplied it just once for the night for the extra shine ! The Maybelline one would have smudged by now all over my face !))) Literally ! For its price Cover girl is amazing !! Even without any liprimer!
