A sheer, moisturizing formula! The color is an orangey-red that can be built up or sheered out to how you want it. It is a perfect summertime/daytime red lip!

Moisturizing. Gorgeous color. Not an in your face red. More of an everyday red. Like other reviewers said, need re applied frequently, but it’s worth it.

This is a wonderful, sheer, almost jelly like red lippie. It’s effortless to apply and wear, seems a bit moisturizing, and IMO, looks fabulous with my skin tone. I read that others have observed a little fragrance, but I can’t detect much of one. It feels very comfortable on the lips, isn’t too glossy and far from matte. It’s like a lip balm, but has more pigment than my beloved L’Oreal color balms. Haven’t seen this in any stores lately. I bought one, loved it and they’re gone. SMH. This shade though! Super flattering. I can’t imagine how this wouldn’t look fantastic on everyone! Seems like a warm red to me, neutral or warm, with zero blue or pink in my opinion. I rarely wear reds but this is a great option to do so.

I literally can’t stop reaching for this lip butter since I bought it recently. I’m a diehard fan of red lips, but we all know they’re a little time-consuming and can be really high maintenance. Candy Apple is the perfect solution to that – it’s a gorgeous, jelly finish solid clean red that goes on with absolutely no effort.
A lot of reviews mention that it has an orange tinge to it, but I’d have to disagree. It does lean warm, maybe even a little yellow-red, and it doesn’t have any blue undertones, but I think it appears truly neutral. Maybe different people’s complexions cause it to transform, I’m not sure, but my natural lip color is quite pigmented and still doesn’t seem to affect the color that comes out of the tube. I think this particular shade would look amazing on absolutely everybody whether it transforms a little or not.
The formula on these is mind-blowing, I can’t get enough of their super subtle sweet scent and how ridiculously moisturizing they are. I’m so sad there isn’t a bigger color range (and more color options besides shades of pink…), because I feel compelled to just collect them all – that’s how addicting they are.

I used to own almost every Revlon Lip Butter, but I slowly purged them from my collection, and now the only two I have are Pink Truffle (because it’s so wearable and work-appropriate) and Candy Apple (because it’s so bright and fun).
Candy Apple is a warm, summery, juicy shade of red. It reminds me of the shade your lips turn when you’ve just eaten a strawberry popsicle. Almost all the other reds in my makeup collection are matte (or at least opaque), so I really enjoy changing things up by wearing this sheer, jelly-ish color to brighten up my face on light-makeup days.
The formula of the Lip Butters is just okay. They have a comfortable, balm-like feel on the lips, and no noticeable scent. They can be a little messy, and they aren’t at all long-wearing. But this particular shade, imo, is worth it.

After reading so many reviews and looking at countless swatches, I thought this would be a nice warm-leaning red, but it pulls very pink-fuschia on me (I am very pale, yellow undertones, green eyes, brown hair). The only way I can wear this is if I blot most of it off, so I’ll be passing this on to someone else. (For reference, Pink Truffle is my perfect MLBB colour.)

Okay, intellectually I know that this shade looks lovely on many people. Somehow, on me, it looked sickly and cheap. I keep making this mistake, in that I keep buying red-orange lippies (Nars Jungle Red, Burts Bees Rose, Mac Lady Bug) in the hope that they’ll look joyful and enlivening. They always make me feel a bit nauseous. I also found the formula a bit slimy. I do love Pink Truffle though, which wins me no end of complements.

I just got this shade and it’s the very first Revlon Lip Butter I have tried. I kept reading make up reviewers here and elsewhere( and a Revlon representative said it is too) describe this shade as a warm red but on my lips and my hand it’s more of a neutral shade almost cool blue toned and those shades never look good on me even in the tube it sort of looks this way. This looks nice but not great, and I was really hoping it would be a warm red shade like Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick is in the shade Red Laquer.
I have to put this over the Candy Apple to get the more warm red I look best in.I’m also not crazy about the feel on my lips it feels more like a greasy lip gloss, chapstick feels better on! Also Covergirl’s Smoochies lip balm is *so* much better,it’s moisturizing but not like greasy lip gloss like this, and their shade Tweet Me is a warm pretty shade of red on me.

Love, love, love, love.
Color is so juicy everyone will want to lick your face (which of course, on occasion, can be a pretty bad thing).
Also fades very evenly and you need not worry about it being all over your face after indulging on some sugar coated…whatever.
Kind of leaves a stain – always a great thing.
BUMMED that it’s not available in Sweden or I would without a doubt own every single color.

I own three different colors of the lip butters. This one is my most recent purchase, and my favorite of the three. The others are Berry Smoothie and Sugar Plum. Sometimes I apply it straight, no lipbalm, sometimes I might dab on a tiny bit before.
The red is definitely warm, but not orange-y. It brings out some green that I have in my eyes. I have very pale olive-y undertones, so I like to have some cheek color when I wear this. Works well when I wear a bright colored top that might otherwise be a bit too strong for my coloring, and with white/ivory tops as well.
I love the texture, the smell is pleasant and not too noticeable. It does have shimmery things just like Berry Smoothie. Normally I don’t like too much of the glittery stuff, but in this particular shade it seems to work well. It just looks like a glazed red from a distance, and I’m not able to see the gold flecks just sitting on my lips (looking at you, Berry Smoothie).
Overall a fun, modern take on a classic red lip.
