My one and only gripe about this lipstick line is there are any pale, warm shades. I totally get that the point of a “vivid” line is to have bright colors. But a warm pink would have been nice, even if they had to make it bright. Coral Crush is beautiful, but too dark yet it’s the only “somewhat” suitable shade for me. I am very pale…if I wear something too colorful, I get an instant clown vibe.
Other than that…the Color Sensational Vivids are amazing. The formula is what gives them a 4 lippie rating in my book. All of them are very moisturizing, yet PACKED with pigment. It takes the lightest layer to get a full color effect. Also they are not streaky like some opaque lippies can be. Hands down this is one of the best formulas I’ve seen in a drugstore priced lipstick.
If you can pull off the colors, go for it.

I only have one lippy of this line in vivid rose. But my experience with it so far has been fantastic. Vivid Rose seems like a color i usually wouldn’t go for. It almost looks like a bunch of colors mixed together if that makes any sense. Its pink, red, sometimes i get a hint of a little purple. its awesome. And what makes this line good is that it gives you a chance to pull off the bright colors because the formula is so creamy and smooth. If you are looking for a bright lipstick or you want to experiment with a color you normally wouldn’t go for, then this is the line for you because the formula makes it work.

These have become my HG lipsticks and they are just a drugstore brand! They are highly pigmented, somewhat matte and last a long time. They are not drying (not moisturizing either but at least they don’t dry). They wear off to a good stain. My lips are prone to lines and feathering and neither of those problems occurs with this rather matte lipcolor — and thats miraculous. They survive eating non greasy food or drinking. With greasy food you need to reapply but they layer fine and you usually will still have a nice stain even then.
I own (and love) fuchsia flash (which is so vivid everyone always compliments it), shocking coral and Vivid Mandarin. My lips turn every brand’s lipsticks pinky so on me the coral looks magenta and the mandarin looks like coral and not orange. But my lips do that to EVERYTHING so I’m pretty sure the colors are true to the tube for most people. They are highly pigmented which helps.
The Mandarin is what I almost every day of my life. I wanted something a bit more orange that that even so I tried the electric orange. That was the only one that didn’t work for me because it was too glossy and not opaque enough. Not sure what that one color had a different formula.
I’ll probably end up buying the full line.
Seriously I cannot endorse these enough.

I have this is Vivid Rose and wow… I got it on special at Coles… I think it was a clearance item and i got it for $5.
Amazing! What a colour, a bright berry pink. The lipstick is opaque, wears, wonderfully, amazing staying power (it leaves your lips stained) and it doesn’t dry my lips out.
It really is such a popping colour. I wear this and I just wear simple eyemakeup and I feel glam.
For the price I would get more of these because they are just that good.

I own vivid rose. It suits my NC15 skin tone really well, and i was surprised by how long lasting it is! I thought it would wear off fast due to its sheen and smooth texture but it lasted about 4 hours on me, which is pretty good because most lipsticks only last 2 hours max on my lips. I really like the colour, which is a bright and confident fuchsia. When I don’t do heavy eye makeup, lightly dab this on and it brightens up my face and make me look awake. I sort of like the smell of Maybelline lipsticks too, but others might find it too chemical. I’ll purchase more in the future when it’s on sale, I’m thinking of getting the red and orange shades.

I have this lipstick in the shade 870 Shocking Coral. The reason I purchased it is that a girl I used to work with was ROCKING a hot pink lip one day, and I’m generally not one to mimic but I really wanted to have lips that color as well.
This color is not coral really, whatsoever. It is a bright, true pink. The pigmentation is perfect… opaque but at the same time buildable. With one layer I get a surprisingly natural effect… the brightness is definitely still there and your lips pop but it’s not extreme. You can add another layer to create an INTENSE finish that is bam! In your face, without being too garish. This lipstick isn’t matte but has no glitter or shimmer whatsoever and isn’t overly shiny. Staying power… these last. Not all day long, but they also don’t slide right off. I work and they stay good from 7AM until about lunchtime. I reapply after lunch and it stays looking good until after I get off around 5PM.
There is a scent (sort of vanilla) but it doesn’t linger.
The price point is between 5 & 6 dollars and the packaging is nice… holds up flawlessly for a drugstore product.
The reasons I wouldn’t repurchase are the facts that I only very rarely reach for this color (even though it’s nice), and Maybelline does test on animals.

I got the shade Pink Pop and I absolutely love it. It’s a vivid blue-based barbie pink color but the vivid color is buildable so if you’re intimidated by bright colors you can just apply it in one light swipe for a sheer but slightly vivid color. I use it for a gradient lip because I feel it looks more flattering on me that way than fully applied. It’s creamy and has some shine, it’s not drying and it’s somewhat moisturizing. It also doubles as a blush for me and I think this is one of those lipsticks that could work for every skin tone. The only negative thing I could say about it is that it makes my teeth look slightly yellow.

It lasts through eating and drinking . Its creamy and not drying.

I absolutely adore this lipstick. I have it in “Brazen Berry” because I love me some purple. It’s a beautiful mid-tone purple color with reddish undertones. The formula hits it out of the park. It is creamy, smooth, moisturizing, goes on even, and uber long lasting. It doesn’t cling onto any dry patches, which is a huge problem of mine, so that is a huge plus. It is also one of the most long lasting cream lipsticks I’ve ever encountered, lasting 6-7 hours and then staining when the pigment is gone. The amazing thing about the shade “Brazen Berry” is that you can wear it full on for an opaque purple, but what I sometimes like to do is dab it on and rub it in for a stain. It looks like I’ve just been kissed and shows the versatility of this lipstick. It’s my favorite lipstick in the drugstore, but also one of my favorites of all time. It’s amazing and everyone should try this formula.

My go-to line for that special pop of colour!
