I’m very impressed with Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipsticks. Most of them have been winners for me including Pink Sand. This shade is a low-key, neutral, light pink with a frosty sheen. It just works for me. It’s neither too light or too dark. The formula is creamy and moisturizing. Coverage is good. The price is right (I paid around $6.00 dollars for my tube.) Just this lipstick and some mascara and I’m ready to go. The packaging, however, could use some improvement. For one thing, there is no sanitary seal. So, make sure you check it before buying to make sure someone hasn’t swatched/tested it. Two, my tube isn’t centered properly, so the side gets abraded every time I twist up the lipstick. Third, it doesn’t seem to roll down correctly. Maybe I have a bad tube, but the packaging definitely kept it from getting a number 5 score. However, overall the lipstick is great and I would repurchase.

This is a frosty pink but it has a lot more frost than pigment. I have super light lips, yet you can barely see the pigment. I do like some frosts but this is sooo frosty it looks dated – not in the vintagey way but in a way that it belongs in the 1980s. There are alot of dated frosts like this in every drugstore brand, so it isn’t anything special. That being said, I found enough alternative uses for this so that I don’t have to throw this out. Here’s how you can use it:
– Layer this on top of a nude that looks concealer-y to add a pink hue
– Swipe over a matte lippie to add a shiny finish
– Dab a small amount under powder blush to add a subtle glow/highlight to the cheek
Even though it didn’t look good on its own, I’ve liked it with the other uses listed above so I give it 4 out of 5 lippies.

This is a wonderful lipstick 10 thumbs up. It smells sweet and creamy, kinda like butterscotch or vanilla maybe? A lot of lipsticks make my lips peely over time so i have to wipe it all off after a few hours and scrub the peely stuff off my lips. This one is super creamy and moisturizing. The color isn’t super bright, more subtle with slight shimmer. But it’s enough to give that extra pop I want on those days a bright color wouldn’t match with the rest of my makeup or my outfit. Definitely would repurchase.

This is an okay lipstick. It isn’t anything special. In fact, I rarely ever reach for it. The packaging is cute but for some reason over time the lipstick tilts and when you twirl the stick up it rubs on the sides and gets all over. The color is a dark peachy pink. Overall, nice quality but boring color.

I bought this a couple of yrs ago, and am still on the same tube – I hardly use it, but occasionally, I do turn back to it (such as this moment). It has a cakey/play doh-y smell to it, not too strong, but I guess that could be a factor that might sway some, so I figured I’d mention it. My lips are somewhat darker in pigmentation, and I feel like this is one of those “my lip color but better” sort of lipsticks. It adds a little bit of shimmer/shine, and I feel like the tanner I am, the better it looks on. This stuff is superrrr moisturizing for a ls, and I don’t even notice that I’m wearing it, bc it feels so much like a lip balm. I may not repurchase this exact color, but I’m definitely open to trying out other colors from this line.

I heard this was a dupe for pink please. Not even close. I can hardly tell I’m wearing it. Shines my lips only and I have gloss for that. Thumbs down

I can’t decide whether I like this or not. I was happy with how this lipstick went on my lips – it didn’t dry out or crack, but the colour is just….not me. It actually looked really pretty when I did a swatch of the tester, but on my lips it is shimmery and metallic looking which was disappointing. I wouldn’t ever wear this on its own. I will keep using this, but apply a nice pinkish gloss over the top.
Probably won’t buy this colour again, but I’d like to try some of the others because I did like how it applied.

This lipstick and I have a love hate relationship. If I’m going au naturel with my skin for the day, I find that it looks unnatural and out of place due to the shimmer and slight frost. If I’m wearing ‘the works’, it compliments many of my makeup looks quite well. I don’t find that it’s /as/ frosty as some people on here claim, but that’s probably because I find that this lipstick looks best applied minimally to avoid the frost effect. Surprisingly moisturizing and the scent isn’t strong.
This product only got 2 lippies from me in packaging quality because it doesn’t have a sanitary seal. If you’re interested in purchase, check to make sure someone before you hasn’t swiped/swatched the lipstick.

When will I learn that I will never be satisfied with a lipstick bought on impulse?!
While I’m impressed with the formula (it’s smooth, creamy, non-drying and doesn’t settle into lines) I can’t stand the color. Which is my own fault. If I’d just looked here on MUA I would have known how incredibly frosty this pink was and gotten a different color.
Additional con: the packaging is cute, but has absolutely no sanitary seal, so it kind of skeezes me out not knowing how many people messed with it before I purchased it.

I actually really like this. I tried it on in the car as soon as I got it, and I didn’t like it at first. It’s not very opaque. I tried it on later, this time with a few more coats. This actually suited me very well! Surprising, since I’m actually quite tan. It doesn’t look very frosty on me, but I could see how it may look frosty on other skin tones. This lipstick is very moisturizing (which I’m quite happy about).
My favorite way to wear it is over lip balm. Wearing it this way gives my lips a bit of a cute milky pink tint. I love it!
Minus one lippie because it’s not long wearing, which might be a turn-off for some people.
