I wish lipstick wasn’t so subjective. The promotion image for this shade shows a beautiful muted mauve-brown colour on dark skin. The official description called it “warm-toned” and “golden nude”. The swatches were promising. I, a warm brown skin-haver, thought it would be a really flattering colour.
It came out straight up greyish-brown on my lips. It sort of blended into my skin tone but looked duller. No sign of that mauve, purpley colour or visible warmth. It was super disappointing. I looked sort of like the brown equivalent of a white girl with dull beige lipstick.
I’m not sure if it’s the lipstick that’s bad or it just came out very badly on my skin and/or (brownish) lip pigment. On the upside, this and other colour sensational lipsticks are some very smooth, creamy, less drying mattes. But I wouldn’t personally recommend this shade. I’m sad about UK cosmetic returns being non-existent because owning a £7 lipstick that looks bad is giving me buyer’s regret…
