Everytime I wear this lipstick I get tons of compliments. Ppl always tell me how good this colour looks on me. It’s a beautiful muted berry red that suits many skin tones. I also love the coverage, texture and finish of this lipstick. Unlike previous reviewers, I didn’t find the coverage sheer at all. I found it quite buildable. Overall this is a quality lipstick that is not drying.

Another winner in a gift-with-purchase lipstick from Lancome. I would describe this a sheer, soft berry-toned rose with subtle shimmer. The intensity is similar to Sugared Maple (which I also love and got as a gwp), except DB is cooler and more sheer. It’s a surprisingly neutral color which may explain why Lancome wasn’t offering a “cool” and “warm” version of the gift this bonus time. This color is so pretty against my fair skin, looking almost too bright for daytime. I can’t usually pull off berry tones (I hate anything too rosy as I have red undertones), but this is soft enough to suit me, especially if blotted. The amount of sheen/shimmer also makes it foolproof to apply quickly as the edges aren’t sharp like you get with matte lipsticks. I think this would suit a range of skin tones but would be more of an evening/weekend look for some and a subtle/office look for others.
As usual the lack of any taste or scent is lovely, and the texture is definitely lipstick rather than gloss, but not too drying.
I’m stunned by the luck I’ve had with Lancome’s GWP lipsticks (more than half have suited me, and I have a hard time with lipsticks). They seem to select universally-flattering colors but also select based on the season (for instance Designer Bloom is a perfect winter-into-spring color whereas Sugared Maple, which I got in the fall, was perfect for that season). In general Lancome’s bonus times rock, although I’ve had much more luck with the lipsticks than with the gwp eyeshadow quads. And those little gwp mascara tubes are perfect for your purse…

Designer Bloom is in the Sheen category and is a mauvey rose frost but sheer. Very nice texture coming from these new lipsticks. Love it!
