I love this lipstick. Unfortunately it broke so I popped it into a small sample container and use a lip brush. I apply blot and reapply and it really lasts well, fading rather than flaking. It is moisturising and really pigmented. I would buy it again but either be careful to not break it or put it straight into a pot.
I can’t remember the colour name but it is a deep blue red. Has a wine name.

This stuff never stays on. It’s literally rubs right off. Nobody else seems to have this issue for some reason, but it just does not work for me!

I have the shade pastille and it’s a nice rich pinky mauve. The product is very creamy and not drying at all like a lot of matte lip products. It doesn’t dry down really, so there is transfer if eating or drinking, but it wears evenly and doesn’t leave me with a lip-liner-esque ring as it wears. Has a nice smell (to me it smells like cake!)

This is much nicer than expected. Feels very comfortable on the lips, actually feels much more creamy than matte (in fact, I would not classify this as a matte lip product). The lip crayon part feels really soft, like I feel like I can’t use much pressure or it will break. This is not truly matte, but maybe semi-matte. Not drying at all, and does not accent my aging 46 year old lip lines, which I appreciate. I got this in the shade Amaretto. One swipe for soft almost nude color, and can be built up. This does transfer. Also this does not last long, for me this is gone in about 3 hours, and that is doing hardly any talking and no eating. But all in all this does not behave like a matte lip product at all for me. That said, I am actually pleasantly surprised by that.
Does not seem to be a ton of product, so it is a little pricey (for reference, I did a quick glance, this is $24.00/0.05 oz. whereas Anastasia Pure Liquid Lipstick is $20.00/0.11 fl. oz., quite pricey by comparison!!) I am not sure if the other shades perform differently; this has been my experience with the shade Amaretto. I also find that for me, this starts off as a muted nude-pink, and turns into a peachy shade after about an hour.
This is also touted as ‘water resistant and long wearing,’ and neither claim proved to be true for me. Drinking an iced coffee (through a straw), this came right off. And again, I am lucky to get about 3 hours wear out of this, and that is little talking and no eating or drinking. When/if eating or drinking, this disappears.
Nice for quick runs to the store or for coffee with friends, or if you do not mind re-applying every few hours. I like this, but I will not repurchase, as it is too pricey per ounce, plus there are so many other lip products out there. Not to mention, if I truly wanted a matte lip product, this does not perform like a matte lip product for me. Not long-lasting and too much transfer and just not in general what I think of in terms of a ‘matte lip product’. So, while this is not what I would classify as a matte lip product (again, the other shades may be different), I do like this and will use it and enjoy it. But I won’t repurchase. Is this a nice lip product? Sure!! But it does not do what it claims, at least not for me. As always, JMO/JME, YMMV.

Oh my goodness, I love these. Everything about them is awesome: the lovely citrusy scent, the smooth matte texture (doesn’t dry out my lips at all), and the color choices. I have four that came in a set a while back: Aubergine, Torte, Coulis, and Cafe. All of them except Cafe are perfect on me – cool red/ dark pinks. Cafe is just boring on me, but that’s because of my coloring and pigmented lips. It would be a great nude on someone with fair skin and lighter lips. I can’t say enough good things about this product. Wish I had more of them!

If you love a matte lip, but liquid lipsticks make your lips look and feel like a dry puckered butthole, then this is for you!!
The formula is very comfortable and long-wearing. It is natural with all sorts of anti-aging benefits.
I am in love with this lipstick line!!

The most moisturizing mattes I have found that still have long wear. That alone makes them worth the purchase. Love the color selection and slightly citrus sweet scent.

I bought this product in Aubergine for $24. It applies easily, but I thought it looked more shiny than matte. The color is brighter than eggplant, more like a medium purple color, and it left a pink ring on the inside of my lip. It also has a waxy smell. I am not confident about the product’s staying power since I accidentally brushed my lips with my hand and the product came off on it.

Thus far, I’ve tried this lip crayon in Glace (permanent), Gavi (Sephora Mix n’ Mingle 2014), and Torte (part of the Sephora 2015 holiday set). I like this product for the portable pencil packaging but I prefer Bite’s luminous creme lipstick. These matte creme lip pencils highly pigmented and while they’re not as drying as NARS matte velvet lip pencils, they still have a tendency to dry out my lips. In addition, I’m not a fan of the candied orange peel scent, which gets cloying. They’re sturdier than the luminous creme lipsticks, which IME are prone to melting and breaking off at the base.

This review is for the Rewind Set (limited edition for the holidays), that includes four travel-sized lipsticks in Cafe, Torte, Coulis and Aubergine.
The pointy end of the crayons makes them perfect for lining the lips, so I didn’t use a lip liner with these. The finish is a creamy matte more than a stark matte, with a very smooth texture. I didn’t find it drying at all, and lasting power is quite good.
It has a noticeable sweet citrus scent, so you may not like it if you hate scented cosmetics. Personally I didn’t mind the smell.
This was my first experience with the Bite brand, and I was favorably impressed. I’ll probably try more Lip Crayons in the future.
