This is a long lasting lipstick that is a very dark crimson, almost like the colour of a cut Beetroot only a touch darker. Because it is so dark, one swipe is enough for full cover, as I like the faded shade of this lipstick I blot and cover with the Bete Noir Sheer. I bought this to use as a first coat under the Sheer so I would be able to keep the colour through the day and only use the sheer for reapplying. So obviously I love the colours of the Bête Noir range.
I have also found that if I use a LQ balm like Hello Sailor or Frog Prince as a base underneath, that the colour is softened by a few shades to a beautiful berry red.
The formula is comfortable and easy to wear, it is very flattering and eventually fades to a lovely rose/mauve stain.
The case is lovely, closes securely and looks great. the writing on the bottom is readable, unlike the Saint and Sinner range.
The price is high at $69 Australian I think the formula is similar to the sinner range but may be a little more moisturising.
I am pleased with this purchase, love all the LQ’s I own, which now number 15+.
