I was quite surprised out of all the mini bite lipsticks I tried that this would be one of my favorites. Medium deep Berry wine shade that works well with my pigmented lips.

The color is gorgeous! It went on darker and more luxurious than it looked in the tube. I have Rhubarb, which is described as a rich plum rose. It’s really creamy and thick going on. But it’s kind of a mess to apply. . I found it ended up on my teeth more than I experience typically and would migrate strangely to other areas sometimes around my mouth. Of course I expect it to transfer, being a creamy lipstick, but it transferred even more than I expected. I guess what most of all what will keep me from buying it (I got it in a Sephora play box, so I never purchased it in the first place) is that it is $26. I have recently discovered ColourPop’s Creme Lux Lipsticks. They are wonderful, and similar to this formula without being messy. They don’t transfer as much, perform better in my opinion, and cost $7. So I would be hard pressed to buy these.

I had some issues with this lipstick, but it’s extremely comfortable to wear. I don’t use lip-liner, and getting nice edges with this was difficult. It pulls a bit with application and the edges of the lipstick kind of round off instead of keeping a nice edge (which normally helps me get clean lip-lines). I always have to apply this super slow and go over and clean the edges with my finger. It also bleeds the tiniest amount, which is barely noticeable. It transfers onto everything so easily. It doesn’t last through food and needs to be touched up after eating. It seems to last fine other than that, and if it does fade, it stays even instead of getting patchy.
It smells fantastic, like a lemon dessert, and has a sweet taste to it if you accidentally lick it. The color, while darker than what I wanted, was still nice. A “rich plum rose” more towards the plum side, like a dark berry shade, with a “satin finish”. It does feel nice on my lips, like it’s barely there. It’s really comfortable and not drying. I really enjoyed that side of it.
I wouldn’t buy this shade again, but I’m interested in trying other shades to see if I still have the same issues.
