Why are there not more reviews for this.. This sold out in all the mac counters in my city I ended up getting online for crazy money. However onto the review this is an amazing color like a burnt orange looks good night and day with minimal make up and a light blush. Only problem is that it is very drying even compared to mac normally drying lipsticks.

From the name itself, this shade lights up your face.🔥
Ablaze is one of MAC’s fashion set collection 2013 together with embrace me, silly and heroine. All 4 are matte finish and this one is reddish coral.💄
What i like about this shade is that in daylight it appears pinkish in tone. It really looks pretty. It could be drying at times but it doesn’t cause chapped lips. Its longevity is pretty impressive also.
This however is sold out online or i guess anywhere since this is a limited edition. I hope MAC will include this in their permanent colors. Xoxo

Before actually seeing the Fashion Sets collection I was already skeptical about purchasing Ablaze. But when I went into MAC the day it realesed i fell in LOVE! Its a beautiful bright coral with pinky undertones, gorgeous on brown skin girls, NC50 for ref. I hope you ladies got your hands on this one.

This was $18 + tax CDN which is very expensive for a lipstick imo. As much as I love the colour, I find the formula of Ablaze to be very drying. It is matte, which I expected but I did think it would be sightly less drying than it is, based on the reviews I read before purchasing.
I purchased a Rimmel Kate lipstick in 110 which is similar but more red-toned and darker than Ablaze and it was only $5.

Ok, this is an ‘in your face’ color. If you are uncomfortable with that this is not the color for you. I love this color. It’s truly perfect. I’m a huge matte lipstick fan so I got 2 of each of these l/s. if you missed it, to me, it’s a dupe for nick minaj 1 (satin).

I’m just now getting into bold lipsticks and I too love this color. It was sold out online and only one left in our MAC store, so I hurried to buy this! I am NW45 and I think it goes well with my skintone and any other skintone.

I’m a huge fan of the bright bold lip and when I saw that MAC came out with a new collection (Fashion Sets) featuring bold colours I had to try them.
Ablaze is described by MAC as a “bright apricot cream” with a matte finish. It shows up on my complexion (MAC NC15 or Matchmaster 1) as a bright medium coral with pinkish red undertones. Ablaze is a richly pigmented creamy lipstick with opaque coverage and appears to be a slightly satiny finish compared to a true flat matte finish. Like other matte lipsticks from MAC, I found this lipstick to be very long wearing for me too. Held up well during the day with only a few touch ups required, and as a pleasant surprise I didn’t find this shade to be as drying as other mattes from MAC’s collections.
Overall a truly gorgeous coral lipstick that is pigmented, bright, and wears well. Highly recommend it to others who like their bright corals.
