EDIT: I bumped this down to 3 lippies over all, because after a few days of wearing this lipstick every day, my lips got extremely dry. This formula doesn’t feel drying while it’s being worn, but it definitely played a role in some long-term dryness. As a result, I decided to return it and go for Mrs. Mia Wallace, which is a cream formula.
Yes yes yes YES! I had been looking for a dupe for my KVD Studded Kiss in Tijuana (which has sadly been discontinued), so discovering this little gem after overlooking it for so long was a major win!
First off, this color is gorgeous! It’s a sort of warmish red, but on me, it tends to pull slightly pink, which is precisely what Tijuana did. I find that this shade is a great dupe for MAC Ruby Woo, only far less drying and – bonus – the UD one is cruelty free.
The formula is matte, but not so matte that it sucks all the moisture out of your lips. There’s some tug upon application, but it doesn’t seem patchy at all. In fact, the color payoff is opaque in one stroke, which I love. This isn’t a hydrating lipstick, but I don’t experience any added dryness while wearing it. It also wears for HOURS.
I love the Vice lipstick packaging. It’s classy, pretty, simple, and sturdy. I’ve never had an issue with it opening in my handbag.
These are $18 USD, which isn’t bad for a higher-end lipstick. With drugstore lipstick creeping up in price regularly, I honestly won’t complain about paying only a few dollars more for better quality.
This may have just become my favorite classic red lip of all time, if I’m being honest.

714 is a lovely, vibrant bright red that really packs a punch. I was worried that the Mega Matte formula might be too drying or uncomfortable, but it is nice on the lips. I prefer the Comfort Matte formula, but the Mega Matte does have a true matte finish, whereas Comfort Matte is more of a satiny matte. When I wear red lips I want the formula to be long-lasting, and this definitely fits the bill. It is very pigmented and opaque, and it lasts through talking and drinking, even leaving a stain behind after eating. All in all, it is a wonderful shade, and I am glad to have it in my collection.

Brutal Allure palette
These are beautiful shade sets. They are essentially snazzy lips made out of minuscule amount of contour plus an incredibly gloopy nose. Perfect, amazing sunblock, true winter color on the cheeks and across the face. I feel like every size that I am wearing now has some decent piece of anything and everything I can give this palette with #4 coats, and it even has super soft and a lilac peach shimmer on the lips. The face, especially the shape and finish is the exact same, and I have only had it on once before that one shade got weird and all over the place. The lips are flattering, but that is probably for sure. It is the perfect outer stop of the Bronzer brush. Again, I love this shade, but on the whole it is not even close to the size I am able to put out of the box on my face for 60 minutes.
9. Pearl Tint (imperfect)
Amethyst tints are great, except once in awhile they end up being too bright. I see this shade more often than not when i’m doing cool shit, and it really looks gorgeous in any lighting application. All in all, Pearl Tint is a great colour on any skin tone, not necessarily color is a factor on people’s skin tones.
9. Midnight Primer
This is one that says I’m going to get this one, but because I am a facial bronzer buff, I have to take it down and get a thicker liquid in order to have it. But I love going for cream tones and toners with peachy lips. One thing I know is that facial bronzer is going to come out of here, and that is if I use the first step properly, and, eventually, with primer (or whatever skincare skin tone your going to have). Plus you don’t need to sweat but once you get used to it, the liquid is just right for this lipstick. Pretty much everything is there for blush if you want it, but I personally have probably got more needs for concealers. The shimmer is actually nice because of the three lip styles that I tried with all three. Take a deep breath and look in the mirror for your favorite one!

9. Rose Moon Midnight Primer
This one I know will be your favorite, but it may not.

So I thought …. do I really need ANOTHER ref lipstick? I’ve got Ruby Woo, MAC red and Russian Red as well as some from other brands. But this time of year rolls around and … I saw this shade on a Jamie Genevieve tutorial and battled with myself about picking this up. I am so glad I did! There is something different about this shade, it’s not just red, it’s got a subtle orangey tone to it that gets along well with my pale complexion, dark hair and pale green eyes. What I really like about it is that a slick of this makes me look “done” – a coat of mascara and a little bit of highlighter and I’m good to go! Also feels really comfortable on and is long lasting. I highly recommend. Buy buy buy!

I was looking for my perfect red it had to “red red” I didn’t want any obvious undertones and this is definitely it for me, although I do believe there is an orange undertone it’s not obvious on me at all! It goes on really nicely and pretty much does not budge hence why I wanted a mega matte, if your looking for a true red than this is a really nice one and I don’t think you could find much better

I love this lipstick! It’s a bright, true red colour. It goes on very opaque and smoothly. Even tho it’s a mega-matte I don’t find it’s drying at all. It also lasts and lasts and lasts! The packaging is beautiful – very sturdy and the cap never falls off in your purse.
If you are looking for a basic red, this is it. It’s HG status.

I liked this lipstick! For a mega matte formula, it never felt too dry. It was pretty comfortable to wear with a good wear time. With a lip brush and my sample book, it did apply with a little bit of tug, but the color is so beautiful and so flattering on so many people. It’s a red with orange undertones, but not to the point where it’s super obvious. It just looks red. I feel like this color is my perfect red. I also love playing up the orange undertones by layering a sheer orange YSL lippie with it.

714 is a mega matte so the finish pretty much speaks for itself. It is a bright matte red with orange / warm undertones. I will say, that I bring out orange in any color that has a bit of it in and usually in a bad way. I am nw20, deep winter, almost black hair, brown eyes. But 714, didn’t quite go full on orange…like get this off. But was just a warmer red lipstick that was just ok. Now if you favor orange reds, this color may be of some serious interest. It is bold, but not overwhelming and makes a statement.
Now, the bad. I don’ t know…it applied and wore kind of patchy for me. I did use the one from the sample pack, but it just never made me go, “ooh, this is nice”. I felt like applying it, it never just slipped on. I know I have not tried every color, but if this is how the mega mattes are going to apply then I will stick with the comfort mattes.
I just find myself not terribley excited about this lipstick in terms of color and texture.
