I purchase this at Kmart, Food 4 Less and Lucky grocery stores in California. In-person prices range from $1.29 to $2.00. I have purchased a 6 pack on Amazon – very convenient but it costs more per tube.
Well I was indifferent, at first, to this humble little lipstick. The case is ugly but works well. The scent is like fruit punch. The lipstick applies easily without skipping and leaves good clean margins on the outer edges. I was shocked to discover how long this humble little thing lasted during a Horrible HORRIBLE day at work when I had made no effort to “set” it with powder and blotting – just slathered it on in the car.
Rushing around indoors and then out into 100 degrees Fahrenheit weather. Ugh! Well I didn’t have time for touching up and as I shamefacedly looked in a mirror about 3 hours after applying it, I still had a nice stain – lighter in color but it was even and looked applied. I still looked polished as the lipstick left me. THANK YOU. With powder and blotting, the original color is still with me at the 3 hour mark and I don’t fear what happens afterwards if I get overwhelmed at work – it’s a nice stain on me.
Twice, ladies have told me “You should NEVER wear any other color.” I was certainly surprised but I think the color looks natural on me (almost MLBB) and it manages to play up my washed out hazel green eyes – that’s not easy for any lipstick to do. I just read the packaging – you get 3.4 grams of product in a tube. The finish has a hint of gloss – they are not matte. These are so inexpensive that I buy them and leave them all over the house, car and in my desk at work.
