The God of lipcolour. That’s all you need to know.
This is not cheap. It’s expensive to buy. I got it by ACCIDENT. Yes, when buying something else. The shade I have is “Pink Zinc Matte”. It is my favourite shade of all the lipsticks I own. If I am wearing it in the day I can subtle-it-down by adding a bit of lighter lippies (like MAC Frosting, which is white, or another very pale pink lipstick I own), but I don’t have to. It’s a beautiful pink. The kind I wished I had received when I ordered Charlotte Tilbury’s “Dolly Bird” online (huge disappointment). But fate has rewarded me for CT’s injustices, by bringing me together with Estee Lauder and Pure Colour Envy Paint on Liquid. It stays on really well for me, and even at a party with food and drinks, when I checked the bathroom mirror later, there was still colour on there. It was like it had even stained my lips – in a good way. It doesn’t feel crazy-drying, which is amazing for something that stays on. It has everything I want, except for more shades. (Yes, I wish I could get another one, same colour, but lighter shade – maybe one day they will make that.) I will DEFINITELY purchase another when this runs out. It has motivated me to throw away a heap of other lipsticks I was hanging onto (because I hate throwing away things I’ve paid for, even when they make me unhappy, and because I used to get them all together and mix them just to use them up). This will replace so many disappointing items. Yay. I don’t care if it’s expensive, if it’s worth it, and saves me time and money trying to find something that works, when so far, nothing else has come anywhere near this standard for me. The search is over, and we are getting married. Thank God I never had children with Charlotte Tilbury. Throwing out that baggage and moving on, baby.
