OMG. Ccarlino, I wish I had read your review before I went shopping at Ulta yesterday. A SA was helping me with a Juice Beauty eyebrow mascara and I liked what I saw, so I asked about a tinted lip balm that would be hydrating. Explained to her that as I age even my lips are drying out and I can’t wear matte lipsticks, I need something super hydrating but without the shimmer of, say, a Clinique Butter Shine. She let me sample the lip crayon in Salinas and I liked the shade on my wrist and on my lip (she sterilized the tester so I could see in on my mouth). When I opened the package this morning to put it on, I was dismayed at the hard, waxy texture (not like the used one in the store) and the wax smell. It went on hard and dry, no slip or ease, and the color, what there was of it, was matte-like. I thought there has to be some mistake. Then I read the review above, and nope, I had the same reaction. Going to give it a few more tried but yeesh. So far I like the eyebrow makeup better, but I had gone to the Anastasia counter looking for a tinted brow mascara and the SA intercepted me and said she thought ABH was too gloppy. I’ll know better next time.

In my search for green/pure makeup, I purchased the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Lip Crayon in Salinas. After a swatch on my wrist, I was impressed by what I thought to be decent pigmentation. I am so disappointed in this lip product. The only positive I can attest to is that it is moisturizing. This product has very sheer pigmentation on the lips and after applying within minutes, it slid off my lip line and looked smudged. I’ll compare it to a tinted Chapstick. Wear time is non-existent. I can’t believe this line is so popular. Pricing is criminal.
