NATURAL? Maybe…not really… SAFE? definitely not!
This was under a buck at Walmart. I grabbed it because nothing ever works for my lips and this claimed to be natural. After purchasing I noticed the packaging is HORRIBLE.
You can just take the top right off and there’s the stick. That can’t be safe…?
NO listed ingredients, just the claim that it is ‘all natural’.
I was upset to find out it has BHT. Which is definitely unsafe during pregnancy. I am 23 weeks pregnant.
———————
BHT (Butalayted Hydroxytoluene)-
Found in ‘Cosmetics, hand/body cream, lipstick, eyeliner, baby oil/lotions, shaving cream
Causes allergic contact dermatitis; causes hyperactivity; may cause cancer, asthma attacks, extreme weakness, fatigue, edema, damage to liver. AVOID during pregnancy.’

Even though it was one of the first lip moisturizers in this price range ($1-$3) that has done the job- I am immediately discontinuing use and will NOT buy anything without listed ingredients, or without researching the product first.

Those are the ingredients of this.
Not so pure is it? This isn’t pure vitamin e AT ALL. Don’t let the name fool you, always check the ingredients if you’re looking for something that claims to be “pure” or natural.. Parabens are carcinogens(cancer causing) BHT applied to the skin was associated with toxic effects in lung tissue
Don’t believe me? Look it up.

Great, cheap ($1.29 @ Walmart) multi-purpose product! I use it to moisturize my lips- on its own, under lipstick, or over a lip stain. Its light and seems to almost ‘melt’ into my lips and gives them a nice sheen. There is no scent, taste, or color. It seems to last on my lips about 2 hours during the day, or all night when worn as an overnight treatment. I don’t know if it will ‘cure’ chapped lips, but it does an adequate job of keeping lips in good condition. I also use it to soothe dry, red, chapped (eczema) patches I sometimes get around my eye area. I will also use it to tame eyebrows, fix eye-makeup smudges, and to moisturize nails & cuticles. I like that it is pure vitamin E, it is gentle and non-irritating. The convenient lipstick-like tube makes for easy application and portability. (My latest endeavor was to melt it down with a little lipstick and cheek stain in empty chapstick tubes, to make portable, sheer moisturizing lip/cheek colors).
