This feels like suede – luscious and luxurious all at once. It is so deceiving to call this a lip oil, as they are traditionally not that pigmented, but FULL COLOR, YES! To say I was shocked at the way this applied is putting it mild. At first I thought I made a mistake and bought a melted matte lipstick but I double-checked the tube and sure enough, “Full Color Lip Oil” is what it said. It will give you full color payoff with one swipe, and it feels like a creamy/oily, almost whipped texture on the lips, soft and moisturizing but without the glossy/oily look. I’ve found the best way to apply it is by dotting a tiny bit on and then blending it out with my fingertip for a blurred lip stain effect. This will give full coverage and still leave you with a very soft feeling on the lips. The shade “I Woke Up Like This” is a deep rosy/brown that is perfect for those of us with naturally pigmented lips. I find it very flattering for my skin tone as well. It is not shiny like you would expect a lip oil to be, but it is not a flat matte look either. I’m not doing it justice, just buy it and see for yourself, it is a pretty great lip product.

I so wanted to love this. I assumed that a “lip oil” would be hydrating and make my lips feel moist. Au contrair. The finish is matte but it feels dry going on and dries down quickly to a matte finish. Even layering lip balm on top doesn’t help, my lips felt dry as chalk The color I got, “I Woke Up Like This” is a nude mauve MLBB shade. Sigh. This might work for younger lips, but I need to stick to the Butter Gloss.

This is NOT a Lip Oil. One would expect a sheer, oil based finish. Something like the Clarins Lip Oil. No, this is a full on opaque paint on lip color. The finish is matte, not glossy. It’s not even creamy. It looks dense and cakey. I understand it is “full color” — that, to me, means lots of pigment. That should not mean dense, thick, matte coverage. I bought this for winter thinking: Yes! A richly colored lip oil. No way I can wear this in winter. You apply, it sets and almost shrink-wraps to your lips.
Gosh-awful taste/smell like melting plastic. I had to wipe it right off. I mean vile. Tasted toxic.
If you like liquid lipsticks, matte finishes and can stand the taste, give it a whirl.
I do not recommend this to anyone with dry lips, or mature lips with lines.

Holy wow. I was lukewarm on this lipstick for the longest time, but finally decided to trot it out for a full eight hours at work to see how it held up. It’s SO comfortable, dries down to a satin finish and doesn’t dry your lips out (the term “lip oil” maybe be an exaggeration, so if you’re looking for something glossy, this is not for you). I have the color Low Key and it’s a perfect wear-to-work, reddish mauve shade. It does transfer but you can layer it over itself pretty seamlessly, so touch-ups are no big deal. Seriously thinking of buying more shades of this product as I attempt to balance out my mostly matte lipstick collection with some more hydrating formulas.

I have this in lowkey. I was definitely looking for the actual NYX lip oil and accidentally got this (I did eventually find that but it turns out I like the Slip Tease much better). This dries sown matte and slightly powdery but not crusty or uncomfortable at all. If you press your lips together lightly and don’t rub, it won’t move. If you do rub, it will move a little. Make sense?
Application is painless (for this shade at least). Make sure to wipe the wand off really, really well and apply in thin layers. The applicator hasn’t given me any problems, and I haven’t needed a liner. Wear is really good – it does transfer but you are left with a lot of color still. You’ll need to fully reapply after a real meal though. I can feel it on my lips but it’s not a hateful feeling. It’s not moisturizing but I don’t think it’s drying out my already-dry lips. I suggest doing that thing where you suck on your finger to avoid getting lipstick on your teeth.
Ok, so the fun stuff – this does not settle in my lip lines and make my lips look wack like most liquid lipsticks. Miracle. Because of the opacity and texture, it makes a GREAT stain. Lightly apply, rub in, do that gradient thing if you want, perhaps apply gloss over it (wait for it to dry down first). It’s inexpensive. There are 12 shades. Lowkey is almost like a browned-down nude-y coral, and it’s great, super flattering and not even boring. I didn’t see any others that I really wanted at the time, but now that I respect the formula I defffff have my eye on Breezy (bright orange-coral), Coy (light bright pink), Bang Bang (warm dark red) and Fire Dancer (cool dark red).

HOLY GRAIL BATMAN I love this lippie. I own this color in WOKE UP LIKE DIS and it makes me feel PRETTY. Like others have stated, this is basically Lip Lingerie (but better). It has more of a thin, oily, whipped texture and goes on very lightly. Its better to build up little by little to desired opacity with these to avoid patchiness. I bought Fire Dancer previously and returned it to Ulta because it was a little patchy, but I’m certain upon reading reviews it was my fault for the patchiness and I wish I hadn’t returned it so quickly. I apply it with my finger tip little by little and blend it really well. This gives me huge full lips and causes a “blotted” effect which I LOVE. Probably going to treat myself to more colors this week tbh.

I really liked this product. This is like lip lingerie’s slightly brighter cousin, though it has less options (at least right now). .I had seen swatches online, so I was aware that it dried to a matte finish. It’s a little thinner than lip lingerie, but barely. It almost looks like a stain depending on how much you put on and if you build it up, it looks more like matte liquid lipstick. I love lip lingerie, but this is even more comfortable and slightly less drying. It takes a little less time to dry down than lip lingerie as well. I will definitely be buying this in a couple more shades.

I don’t know that this is that different than their Lip Lingerie product. It goes on a little more smooth but still dries to a matte finish. I’m also not sure why they call it an oil – at the end of the day, it’s a matte lippie. A little disappointed as I was expecting something closer to a real lip oil.

To start this. I am a balm addict. I do not like the feeling of something on my lips (ahem Rimmel Apocalips) or my lips to feel dry.
I got this today and it’s completely not what I thought it’d be. I thought this might be more like the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid (velvety). It is not. These are still liquid lipsticks. I’m not sure why NYX named them what they did. It seems super misleading.
With that being said. I applied one around 3pm and wore it till about 6pm. It lasted the entire time even thought it did transfer onto my water bottle. It didn’t crumble, it didn’t really fade or if it did it was so even I couldn’t tell.
With the whole balm addict inside me, this wasn’t the most comfortable lip product I’ve worn. I could feel it on and it was a little bit drying. But I think I can live through it for how nice it looks for hours on end.
This has to be one of the least sticky but okay feeling liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. Others either are drying and drive me so crazy I take them off or they crack & crumble off. They also feel like I have liquid latex on my lips or wear unevenly which looks horrendous (patchy or the inner lip has nothing). This doesn’t do those horrible things.
It’s matte, not super drying and feels okay (not 100% comfortable). Just for those who are curious.

NYX has found a way to take the traits of their liquid lipsticks with the Slip Tease line: applies mousse-y like Lip Lingerie, feels like Liquid Suede (and equally as thick/heavy, which means it takes for EVER to dry!), and sets to a light feel like a Lip Cream. This did not apply patchy, seep into my lines, or dry crusty; these discomforts were the issues I had with Lip Lingerie. My new HG lipstick, Beyond Basic, is the perfect neutral-warm mid-dark brown that does not look gray on my NC42 skin. I’ll prep with Burts Bees, line my lips with Downtown Beauty Suede Matte lipliner (my HG!), and combined, this would be my daily lip routine.
This stays in my bag with me everywhere I go! My favorite thing to do is, on days off (conservative work setting problems!), to fill my lips with ELF Liquid lipstick in Coffee (I like it much better than Milani Covet and Milani Matterialistic) before I leave, and then touch up with Beyond Basic Slip Tease after for my favorite all-day, non-drying deep brown lip!
