I either love or hate elf products. I really wanted to love this lip stain although I felt like I literally had to take my lips off to apply it. After the first day, I could not even get any of the formula out of the tube. Save your $2. There are lots of ELF products I love, but this was not one of them.

This is actually my favorite marker like lip stain. The colour is definitely darker than expected but in a good way. When I don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup I go for this and a little mascara.
Overall, you really have to apply it in layers to ensure an even wash of color but I don’t mind. After it sets, it last me a few hours before fading to a nice flush of color. I also can top it off with lip balm without disturbing the color, which is great because lip balm makes the covergirl version rub right off. But if I don’t use lip balm these do make my lips feel a little dry.
For the price, this product always exceeds my expectation. I store them in ziploc bags just to keep them fresher longer.

I was quite dissapointed with the colour of this product, because I expected it to be more natural reddish-pink, but it was burgundy and looked terrible on me. It also didn’t apply evenly and looked dirty and was quite drying on the lips. Would not repurchase.

There was really nothing to this stain. It’s so light, even after multiple swipes, I could barely see it on my lips. It just made them look…dirty. Maybe it could work if your lips were very light naturally. I even swiped it on my wrist (which is much lighter) and hardly anything came out of the pen and it was barely visible at all. I have the discontinued Smashbox stain, which I really like, but is unavailable and was overpriced for what it was. I’m hoping to find something low-end that has as much punch for less money.

I didn not like anything about this lip stain. It was very drying to my lips. I felt like i had to put some lipgloss over it because my lips looked so dry! And it didnt stay on long, either. Worth a shot for $2, but I wouldnt repurchase.

I really like this lip stain! It’s a really nice neutral color for me. It has an applicator like a marker, which I think is similar to CoverGirl’s lip stains maybe? The only thing I didn’t like about it was that it has kind of a weird smell after a few days, but the smell is only noticeable when you’re applying and goes away once it dries. The product is just like ink or juice, just goes on thin and dries. I wear Chapstick over it.

I absolutely love this lip stain. It stays on for what seems like forever. It is a nice deep color and can be worn lightly or built up. It is better than any others I have tried, and for less than $4, I can’t complain at all.Just make sure your lips aren’t chapped or dry or this looks like a disaster. I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out!

This stain is awesome, it goes on a little wet but dries pretty fast, even though the name says nude nectar, its actually a nice berry/pink color that is so pigmented! And for a $2 lip stain, it is the best i’ve ever used. It lasts through eating, kissing, etc. lol. Overall, its a definetely a great buy!!
