It’s my third tube now. THE COLOUR OF CHOCOLATE HONEY IS GORGEOUS. It’s such a perfect nude with this glossy texture. Once you started applying it looks wonderful.
Though I would say that this thing does not last. It really doesn’t. You have to keep applying very very constantly throughout the day. It just doesn’t stay. I wish they could really improve the formula for this. As well as it gets really gooey during the day and leaves marks on the inside of your lips. It looks gross but this lipstick is like my guily pleasure. I hate it sometimes but I cant live without it.

I want to preface this by saying that I really wanted this product to work and I used to love the too faced brand, but it seems their quality has heavily faltered lately.
I have the melted line in 3 colours: chocolate milkshake, chocolate honey and melted strawberry, all of which seem to do the same thing to my lips.
It looks great when you first put it on; opaque colours with a pretty velvet finish, but throughout the day the product will bunch up and become a gloopy mess. Especially in the inner and outer corners of the lip, even when I don’t eat or drink anything. I’ve tried to make this product work countless times, but no matter what at the end of the day it will always flake, bunch up and make your lips look cracked and disgusting. Reapplying over it seems to cover some of the monstrosity, but then it just looks like you have a gross looking coat over your lips near the edges. Perhaps a lip primer will help with this problem? Alas, that would mean spending more money on what a product should already be doing as it claims. It’s really unfortunate as most of the colours in these lines are super pretty, but just don’t quite work throughout the day.

Got the metallic chocolate and all i can say is it smells good but its not pigmented its mostly a silver glitter with a little chocolate color. I got it on discount at marshalls but i regret this purchase. Not even worth the 6.00 I paid for it I can find cheap lip gloss that has the same sparkle and it doesnt stay on the lips long either.

Has a fabulous chocolate scent! Chocolate Honey is a warm toned, toffee color. Looks great even with my cool toned, porcelain skin. This does dry out my lips though.

Give me ALL the brown lip colors! Chocolate Honey is such a stunningly beautiful, wearable one. It’s a mid-toned orangey caramel brown that looks – and smells – scrumptious. Seriously, that chocolate scent when you squeeze the tube is addicting.
The formula is great, too. It’s VERY pigmented, applies wet, and dries down to like a semi-matte. Excellent wear time, and surprisingly doesn’t bleed on me.

I got a deluxe sample of this and definitely plan on purchasing the full size. I did not realize apparently they have three shades of this, according to the picture here..? Anyway, the shade I received is definitely called “Chocolate Honey”. I did not have much hope for this, as I have tried Too Faced Melted lipsticks before and they had always been a hot mess for me. But this..wow!! If you are looking for a good neutral or nude lipstick and especially if you like liquid lipsticks, I would say check this out the next time you are in Ulta or Sephora. Glides on the lips, feels comfortable on the lips, no slipping or sliding, just behaves very nicely. I did not get any settling in lines with this like I had with the previous Too Faced liquid lipsticks I had tried in the past, so, yay!! This also has a yummy chocolate scent..not too powerful scented, though. I am not a fan of the applicator, but I realize that is just personal preference, and I can overlook the applicator because I love this shade and how well it performs and looks. Lasts on me a good 4 to 6 hours, depending on how much talking or any eating I do. Does not get gummy nor gunky. Very pleased. Will definitely (re) purchase!!

A little about me first so you’ll get the full picture. I’m 48, am fair-skinned (although not porcelain pale), and have very oily skin although my lips can be normal to dry. My eyes are mostly brown with some greenish-hazel in the center. My lips are naturally full, so often bright colors, while they’re theoretically supposed to work on me, make me look like a clown. Makeup experts say browns are supposed to make me look dead. My hair color changes frequently(!) but is usually some form of light to dark brown or caramel or a shade of red…or all of the above.
Now that you have an idea of my coloring (warm colors, not cool, generally flatter me), I want you to know I saw the Chocolate Honey Too Faced Melted Chocolate lipstick on an Instagram makeup model and thought it looked beautiful but seriously wondered how it’d look on me. In theory, the pinkish Chocolate Milkshake color would brighten up my skin and work much better. Well, I went to my local Ulta to test the shades first. I tried the Chocolate Cherry because that had gotten rave reviews from users, but that was way too gothic on me – Now, don’t get me wrong – I love goth, but not so much on a 48 year old woman. 🙂 The milkshake color was too pinky – Too very similar to other shades I had tried. But, like Goldilocks, I tried the Chocolate Honey and it was juuuust right!
Chocolate Honey is a mild auburnish nude brown (not sheer) which really flattered me. It’s not SO nude, though, that it doesn’t look like I’m not wearing any color at all. I don’t look like a corpse at all! I was relieved because I was prepared to be disappointed yet again by the hype. At work, I drink from a straw all day (and eat a protein bar for lunch) and I only have to do a lipstick touchup once and even then only a little. I don’t even need liner with this although it can be used with or without one. The applicator tip is very precise, so it always looks professionally done. And, by the way, the applicator is the best of the best in lipsticks in my humble opinion. Precise, no waste, and it lets you control the amount used perfectly. In short, I love this stuff!

Smells like chocolate. Applies evenly, smoothly, is non-drying, very moisturizing. On my lips bare this is just not cute, but I knew that when I purchased it. Paired with MAC’s Chestnut this is beautiful and on Fleek. I only wish I had discovered long ago that TF actually had shades in the melted collection that look good on me. Get it if you like the whole neutral look. It’s highly pigmented so your natural lip shade will not show through this.
