To finish off this look I prep my lips with some Vaseline and then apply the Sleek matte me liquid lipstick in metallic copperplate. I’ve always been a big fan of the Sleek matte me liquid lipstick and Birthday suit was my go-to colour, however, that is about to change! This metallic copperplate is rich in colour and sits perfectly with a golden makeup look. The lipstick is longlasting and glides onto the lip with ease and full coverage.

I have been hunting for the perfect shade of lipstick for years. I have tried liquid lipcolours like this one before but so far this is Sleek’s most innovative range. It seems like they are still releasing colours or it may have taken a while for them to hit the shelf. I first saw this range in the shades Roman copper, Anodized Ruby and Volcanic. I bought all three but Roman Copper did not work well with my skintone at all. Volcanic and Anodized Ruby are lovely shades, Volcanic is very sheer and gives a subtle iridescent glow. (There is a reason why Im describing the colours that I will get to in a sec) Anodized Ruby is perfect for the festive season but it tends to get slighty darker as it dries and its more pigmented than some of the other shades.
A few weeks later they had added Molten Topaz and Electroplated Nude to their collection. Molten Topaz is a sheer red shade with golden overtones and Electroplated nude is a pink shade also with gold overtones making it a soft warm rose-gold. These matte metallics look a some what different in real life than they do in the picture on Sleeks website, or on other internet retailers pages. I would highly recommend checking-out the product in store before ordering anything online. If that’s not possible try to find pictures of actual swatches of the product I have included one here. The lip-cream consistency is good and it doesn’t flake and crack. The applicator in the bottle picks up way to much product in order for it to be effective, so its best to use a lip brush. My personal favourites are Molten Topaz and Electroplated Nude they work really well as “day” colours. Volcanic is nice for a wintry frosty/ powdery look. They have added even more shades but they are too dark and too “cool” for me I have a warm undertone to my skin.
These colours are as described on the packaging: Matte Mettallic so they are not overbearingly bold or garish and I think some shades will complement mature skin.
