“Turkish Cafe” is the color of my crayon. I enjoy the formula and color. I do find that the color wears off a bit easy.

I have this in the shade Plum Freeze, a dark, purplish red that I love for the fall season. First of all: this is called a moisturizing lip crayon for a reason! It feels lovely on the lips, no hint of dryness and my lips actually feel particularly plump and supple while wearing this. It glides onto the lips like butter, which is nice, but with a darker shade like Plum Freeze it can easily get messy too. Therefor I like to set it a little bit with a translucent powder. Not enough for it to turn completely matte of anything, just to ensure that it doesn’t transfer or bleed outside my lips as easily. For being a balm-like product, the pigmentation and colour payoff is actually really, really great. It’s not 100% opaque, but it’s definitely much more than a tinted balm. It holds up well, though not so much during a meal. On the plus side, it wears off okay even during a meal for being such a dark colour. At $17, it’s definitely a little up there in price, but it also feels and looks luxurious on the lips!
+ Cruelty free
+ Discreet but pleasant vanilla scent
+ Feels weightless yet moisturizing on the lips
+ Infused with vitamin e
+ Love the pun-y name (this is totally a valid pro argument, right?)
– A little pricy

I have several of these lip crayons. They retail for $17 each but I have received mine in sets or part of kits. That being said, the formula is great. Glides on smoothly and doesn’t dry out your lips like Tarte. The formula is glossy with a hint of vanilla scent that is barely noticeable. I find that the darker colors last longer than the light colors.
Fig prosecco gorgeous peach nude
Lychee glacé bright coral
Mango sorbet subtle coral
Dragon fruit sorbet bright neon pink
Turkish cafe subtle Bordeaux
Overall I really enjoy them but since they don’t last, I wouldn’t buy them but I enjoy them in a kit.

Ohhh Yeahhh!!! I got this in the shade Lychee Glaze. It applies like a dream, literally glides right on, effortlessly! Yet is easy to keep in the lines and stays in the lines, even for my 45 year old lips!! Stays true to color as the day wears on, I get a good 4+ hours wear out of this, and it feels weightless, I literally forget that I have a lip product on!! Having said that, that also means that this is not tacky nor sticky nor greasy nor drying, none of that ugly stuff!! Just a joy to wear, and the color is GORGEOUS!!! I would imagine many skin tons could wear this shade. Beautiful, vibrant, fun shade without being ‘too loud’ or ‘too much’. Lastly, the smell..it is sort of fruity, maybe..? Not vanilla, not overly sweet, not bakery, just, maybe a fruity smell…? But it is a nice smell imho. Oh and if this is meant to be a ‘sheer’ lip product, it really packs a lot of pigment for me, even with just one swipe!
I plan on getting more shades. Great product. Laura Gellar is one company that never really caught my attention in the past, but so far this year the products from this company have both been big winners for me! Would re-purchase this and would recommend. The only ever so tiny complaint is that this seems a bit pricey, but for the look and the performance and the feel, I will just keep my eyes peeled for sales!!!

My Love Me Dew in Cranberry Glaze was a random kick-back I got as a casualty (boon?) of my mom’s QVC habit.
It’s amazing.
LMD comes in your standard chubby lip crayon format, in this case a glossy black tube with a helpful color-coded stripe to distinguish each shade from the others if you happen to have multiples. Twist-up, too, no sharpener needed! Okay, on to the formula. Wow. Good work, peeps at LG. This stuff is creamy, opaque (at least my shade is), mosturizing, and oddly longwearing for not being called that, or a matte. It gives a really even, smooth, and (yes) dewy colorful look to your lips. It can be messy to apply since it’s so lusciously creamy, and my crayon needs to be wiped down constantly, but still — wow. Never, ever clings to flakes or settles in lines which is something I constantly deal with. Super comfy to wear. Fades evenly, and makes a beautiful stain too.
My only gripe is that they neeeeeed more shades. The ones they have aren’t really that appealing to me (8 shades at Ulta, mostly brights and darks), mostly because I have so many lipsticks and have those shades already and yadda yadda yadda that’s my fault for being such a makeup junkie so not faulting them and this awesome product. $16 per, which is not that bad.

I have this lip crayon in “happiful”. Lovely pink fuschia color, perfect for summer. Great pigment for a semi-sheer lip color. Does not dry out at all. Last for hours, do need to reapply after eating or drinking. Pleased with this chubby crayon.

The only way I can wear these sheer lip crayons is over a matte, long-wearing lipstick in a similar shade. Worn alone, they look absolutely gorgeous and glossy but simply don’t last. I bought a set of three via QVC and the colours are vibrant yet flattering.

This is such a nice product. It literally brightens both my face and my day by just wearing it.
I have the Love Me Dew in Watermelon Cooler, which is a sheer but bright carnation pink. I received it with a set of Laura Geller products a while back, and just got around to trying it.
The color is very lovely; it’s not super opaque, but it is pigmented enough to be noticeable. I’ve been able to wear it to numerous places without my lips screaming “color”. Also, I love the finish; it’s naturally lustrous, and it works with the natural contours of my lips to make them look full and healthy. Plus, it’s such a thin and lightweight product that it looks the farthest from fake. Love Me Dew really feels like a pure lip balm, and it really does keep my lips nice and soft the entire time I wear it. With some clear lip liner, however, their wear is slightly extended. Also, it has a very pleasant smell and taste- it’s sweet, but not strongly chemical-like.
Its staying power, however, isn’t the best; you can easily rub off the product off, and reapplication is often necessary. That’s really the only issue that I have with this lip product. Other than that, it’s great! The twist top also makes it very helpful. I’m not sure about the individual price for each Love Me Dew, but I don’t think that these go past $20 a pop. I’d highly recommend these!

I didn’t even know these awesome little chubby fellas existed. One of the clerks at Ulta had the most vibrant plummy pink lipstick, and I asked where she got it. I love the color for summer. It’s bright without being over powering. I have worn it every day for the past week. The formula itself is incredible. Minimal touch ups required, and doesn’t feather if I’m too lazy to be bothered with liner. Worth every penny

I am sort of obsessed with the “chubby lip pencil.” I’ve tried several: Clinique (too expensive, too slippery, not really much color payoff); Tarte (too expensive, bad formula! Leave out the mint! It’s drying and sensitizing!); Revlon (cheap, great colors and…mint! Stop it now!); Sally Hansen (pretty good, value-priced; not much color pay-off); Wet-n-Wild (bargain price, pretty good colors, not too slippery, and… Mint! What gives!?); Jordana (value-priced, nice but limited colors–I even wrote to the company to ask for more!–can live without the fragrance though); Neutrogena (value-priced, OK color selection but oh my gosh! The horrible peach fragrance!); Sephora (pretty good, limited color selection, nice color saturation, a bit on the slick side).
And now this! I was browsing at Ulta for fun after I had fetched my boring Ultra-swim conditioner. I thought I’d try the Laura Geller version of the chubby pencil. Wow. These are outstanding! More expensive than the “drugstore” versions, but cheaper than Clinique and that level of brands. No scent! Smooth, not slick or sticky. Glossy finish, with no shimmer/glitter. Great color saturation for a sheer product. Wowie. The colors are so beautiful. I played with 4 of the 6-7 they have, and opted for 2: the Cranberry and the Plum colors. These are simply the best out there as far as I’m concerned. I just saw that you can get a 3-crayon “kit” on-line at Ulta. Even with shipping costs, you save a fair bit of money. These are just wonderful and I hope more people take note of them, as this is how you do everything right.
