I love this stuff! I don’t think the people who are negatively reviewing this understand that it’s supposed to look like blood on your lips, hence the Twilight/vampire tie-in. The dark red tint only stains your inner lips and doesn’t migrate at all. Although, it does take a bit of work to remove it completely after having it on for several hours. DuWop also clearly states in the product description that its a stain and not a gloss. The peppermint oil really has a bite and hydrates your lips without actually remaining/looking all oily. It’s totally matte. The stain, like all DuWop venoms, is a bit pricey at $16 for a tube that is slightly bigger than a perfume sample, but so little is needed per application that the quantity lasts a long time. I think this lip stain is great for achieving that popular South Korean gradient lip look, for Halloween, or if you have really avant-garde taste in makeup (like myself)!

What could have been a great product wound up being a huge flop. The color of this was very appealing on my lips (a nice dark crimson red). Unfortunately it didn’t go anywhere but the center of my bottom lip and the bottom of my upper lip (does that make sense?). Basically, it made my mouth look like it was covered in blood…not exactly attractive. The packaging quality was also very poor, as the oily part of the venom leaked out all over the bottle. I really, really wish this had distributed on my lips better…the color was so pretty.

Not knowing much of anything about the Twilight franchise, I bought this simply because it looked cool and I love lip stains.
This product was a disapointment for the amount i paid for it. First off the color is cool. It gives your lips a cool bruised red look. I do notice my lips looking plumper and fuller when i wear it also.
However, it is pretty hard to achive an even distribution of color with this. When i wear this, my inner bottom lip is super dark and my top lip dosen’t have as much color. The consistency of the stain itself is too oily to build a uniform color. I put a waxy balm like Burts Bees under it and that helps a bit however.
I gave it 3 stars for the deep purple red color, plumping effect and neat little package. I will continue to use it every once in a while ( wayyy to expensive to toss it) but i won’t repurchase for it’s uneven staining ability. A noble attempt by DUWop to create something cool and different but kind of falls short in the execution.

Living in Australia, DuWop is a difficult product to find so when I found this Lip Venom last year I was quite excited and didn’t mind paying around $19 AUS for it. I have to admit though, I did feel a little disappointed when I opened the metal canister and found the tiny vial inside (it’s roughly 6cm!)
The concept is you need to shake the vial to combine the ‘venom’ and the stain which is settled at the bottom. The colour is definitely beautiful: it’s a deep crimson which you can intensify depending on how many layers you apply. I did find that after application the product didn’t sting or plump as much as I had expected it to and on my lips, it felt almost too oily- as if it was threatening to ‘split’. This feeling was confirmed after a few hours when I discovered that the stain had split from the venom and gravitated towards the centre of my lips (if that makes any sense haha). The second time round trying this product out, I kept my lips hydrated with a conditioning balm and found that this problem reduced significantly. This venom is a pretty product, but it can be tricky to get it to give you the results you want (ie plumping and staining power that stays!)

I, too, was disappointed that this product doesn’t stain your lips very much (I actually use the blush color, which is even less effective at staining), nor does the nice shine last more than a few minutes…but it does do something very well that the regular lip venom doesn’t–which unfortunately they don’t publicize or promote. It CONDITIONS your lips extremely quickly, creating a smooth foundation for anything that you want to put on top.
So now it is part of my beauty regimine. I apply it several times to clean and often-dry, chapped lips. Within minutes my lips are smooth and easy to line, if I want. I use a lip tint under it, add the lip venom to smooth out the tint, and then finish with the regular lip venom. (It sometimes feels like I am single-handedly keeping Duwop in business!) Try it this way, though. It’s a much more valuable product than just another lip stain!
Its unfortunate that the size is so small and a bit expensive, but its not when compared to many other less-effective products sold through Sephora and department stores.!

I really wanted to love this stuff! I am a huge fan of the idea of lip stains as reapplying lipstick during the day to the perfection I so desire isn’t really possible with my hectic school schedule. The color of the Twilight Venom is fantastic, a super deep and sexy red. However, the application process is an enormous pain! Even after shaking the tube really well before use (at least a whole minute) the stain and the plumping liquid didn’t really blend together upon application; basically it felt like trying to blend food dye and oil over my lips… not super conducive to an evenly-stained lip. The only solution to this I found was to spread with my fingers, which resulted in a way better (and super hot, might I add) and more even lip. But, you know, then one fingertip would be stained bright red and thats not really a look I’m going for. As much as it is a pain to use, I will keep using this stuff until the tube is gone (I mean, it looks really good) but I honestly can’t justify using it more than once a week when I loathe applying it.

Well, I’m sort of disappointed I didn’t like this product better. I’ve never been much of a Twilight fan, but ever since the Twilight Venom came out, I’ve been itching to try it. I love the original Lip Venom, so I was hoping this would be of the same quality. I love that it’s a lip stain, I’ve been looking for a great deep red stain for awhile now. Overall, it wasn’t too hard to apply, but I noticed the easiest way to make the stain go on evenly was to first apply and then spread around with your fingers. This caused the tips to become tinted, which really didn’t bother me much, but even after using my fingers I still had to apply to certain areas that didn’t want to take the color. I noticed that if I applied mark.’s Kissink Lipmarker in “Red Siren” underneath as a base, the color was much more cooperative and I could build the color up a lot better. Overall it’s a really pretty color once evenly applied and I use it pretty often, but I don’t know if I’d repurchase because it’s kind of a hassle to apply. It’s not overbearingly difficult or anything, like some reviewers make it seem, but if I’m in a hurry it’s not my go-to lip product.

This stuff is horrible 🙁
1. PRICE: I got 2 for $26 (29000 Korean Won), but its still quite pricey.
2. SIZE: Like everyone says, its tiny. 2 and a half inches or so.
3. PACKAGING: Mine doesn’t leak. But when you pull or push the applying stick (what was it called?) out of that bottle, some of the liquid will pop out a little. Maybe because of inner pressure?
4. VENOM: The “tingle” was stronger than I thought, but not a big deal. Its just an everyday-tingle you get when you eat something spicy. I’m not so sure about the plumping effect… It makes your lips feel a bit smoother (even when wiped off), but like, for a minute or so? This product does not make my lips bigger.
5. STAIN(TINT): I wanted a red staingloss. Twilight Lip Venom seemed like blood-red one, and that’s why I bought it. But it looks more like hot pink. Maybe because my lips are naturally dark (as you can see in the picture linked below)? Anyways, I hate it when this happens. The stain was no longer visible after eating chicken.
6. SCENT: Cinnamon. Not too obnoxious.
Twilight Lip Venom is a perfect way to waste your money.

I really really wanted this lip stain. BAD. I love lip stains and I thought it would give me a really nice, beautiful stain. Its a nice idea, where you shake it up to get the color to mix. Buys into the whole Twilight thing. Sigh. I got a mini in a swap, and I figured I could buy the full sized if I really liked it. Its a good amount even in the mini. I slipped it on my lips, and found that the color instantly goes into the slightest of dry spots on my lips. I have pretty moisturized lips. I take care of them. So when I put it on and it pretty much fell into the edges of my lips and any little crack, I was sad. It also stayed on my lips too long, and in the edges. My mom actually thought something was wrong with my lips, like I had hurt them or something. Ugh. Yeah. No bueno.
