With all the brands coming out with creamy automatic gel lip liners, seeing this old wooden pencil reminds me why I prefer automatic pencils. I got Naked. A light nude pink. Matches your lips. Great neutral color that will work for most skin tones. Downside? The wooden pencil is really dry. Tugs at skin. Also rather hard, plus you have to manually sharpen this. Retails for a whopping $24. Forget it!

I got the shade “lady in red”. Its a bright, true red colour. The formula alone is creamy, glides on your lip very easily and blends well too. There’s literally nothing to complain about, and the longevity is quite lasting too. I bought this below $10 so i would easily repurchase another one when it runs out!

This costs around $9-10AU, it’s a tiny bit drying and drags on the lips a little bit but the colours are great. The colour I bought is called Siren and it’s a true bright red. It can be hard getting a bright red liner, much of the time they are a cherry red or blue red. This is a genuinely bright red. I tend to wear it under Revlon Superlustrous in Ravish Me Red, Revlon Luxurious Living in Revlon Red, and Revlon Colourburst in Coral. That should give you a good indication of the shade, more a tomato red. Good value for what it it, just a pity it’s a tiny bit drying.

This looks pretty at first but then it stains and it doesn’t last for a very long time either. If you want to wear it, you’ll have to bring make up remover to remove it and then reapply it. Good price. The packaging sucks, it broke when I just screwed it up as usual like the second time I used it.

I had this in the red shade, and I had such high hopes. The coverage was sheer at best and slid off if you even looked at it funny. I had two for some reason, and I disliked both of them. The packaging was kind of shoddy too. The lids kept falling off and eventually broke. One of them also melted at room temperature. I wanted to love this, but I guess I just got a cursed batch.

If you are a Clinique chubby stick fan give these a try. Better colour pay off imo and last a little longer on the lips. At £2.99 a total bargain. Great moisturising non sticky formula with a slight gloss finish. Colours are all great too!

When I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I started looking for gluten-free lip pencils. (I’m at the age when I need a pencil for definition and to keep lip products in place.) These are great, They’re not too soft or hard, apply easily, and blend beautifully. I set the blended line with a bit of powder on a Q-Tip, and it really helps to keep lipstick from bleeding. I purchased this product in Plum, Rose, and Spice (a non-orangey neutral) and find that they work with almost all my lip products. They also work great to fill in the lip as a base for gloss or balm. They do need sharpening, though. They’re comparatively cheap for Jane Iredale at $13 a pop, and considering that I get a lot of use from each, they’re a deal. I will repurchase.
Update 5/27/17: I find myself using these pencils more and more. They’re second only to MAC’s in staying power, and they’re slightly more creamy, which makes application easier. There are a great value for the price.

Very soft and creamy, it glides on your lips very easy without skipping! I’ve put off buying Milani lipliners because I have an eyeliner that’s dry as hell and I figured these would be the same. Beautiful natural pinky brown.

Continuing my search for the perfect Cranberry lip color (a seemingly Quixotic quest that has been going on for 2 years), I found an already open pencil at my local CVS and swiped a bit to my hand. It has been more than 24 hours (and I’ve taken a bubble bath in that time) and you can still tell where it was on my hand…that is long lasting color!!!!

I have this in Simply Natural, which is a neutral brown. The texture is silky and smooth. I have gone through at least 5 of these and love them!

Milani is awesome! Over the weekend, I also purchased the “Simply Natural” lip pencil, and I love it! The color is exactly what I wanted, very good consistency and neutral color. I will go back for more!

The Milani lipliners are so creamy and the go on really smooth. I really like the Hot Chocolate color, it gives you a chocolate brown color with a hint of red in it. They also last for a long time.

Great drugstore lipliner available in a pretty wide variety of shades. It is in a wood casing, and it’s best to “warm it up” a bit before applying.

This is my first Inglot product, I actually bought it out of curiosity & in the end I’m glad I did.
I got the shade 23, a warm, brownish red that can strangely be considered as a MLBB shade. It’s a lovely “standout but not in your face” color that gets me compliments whenever I wear it.
Finish is matte but not overly drying to the lips. Fairly long-lasting but needs a bit of a retouch after heavy eating/drinking.
Packaging is sleek in a black case. It’s a twist-up pencil which I like and it has a built-in sharpener at the other end which is convenient.
No scent and no discernible taste.
Price point is reasonable, you get a lot of product and it’s sturdy, won’t snap easily or detach from the base.
I will most likely repurchase but this time around I will try the other shades available.

This is a lip pencil cum crayon lipstick of a cool pink shade 24. The shade is not anything uncommon and there are many drugstore dupes I think. Though it looks like a twist up pencil, it actually needs to be sharpened which is a bit of a downside. It’s a Matt shade which is a bit drying on my lips and so I always have a gloss on top. Considering the price, it isn’t exactly an unique shade or even that long lasting. I am a bit disappointed with this product.

Unfortunately, I have had bad luck with this product bleeding every single time I wear it. I usually throw on a more neutral color from other brands when I am running around or headed to the gym for a little pop or color, and they last, however this product does not settle into my lips. It moves, rubs off and spreads within a short period of time.

Tawny is an exact match of Bobby Brown’s Brown lipstick. It goes on smooth and has great lasting power, as well as keeping feathering to a minimum. A definite staple.

Oh dear! Another lip pencil jumps into my ‘Im never used’ bag, and…it wasn’t a cheap one. The most natural color, which is the one I bought, is pink and really does my lips no favor at all.

I’m surprised there aren’t more positive comments on this lip pencil. I’ve found my HG of lip liners with T. Leclerc’s lip liner in Ivresse. Not only is it soft and goes on smoothly, it wears like a dream–no feathering whatsover. Ivresse is also a color that goes with all the lipstick shades I wear on a regular basis, peach, nude, brick–warm tones in other words. The pencil sharpens beautifully, the silver “vintage” packaging is beautiful as well, and it lasts a really long time. The T. Leclerc line is expensive, no doubt, but this lip pencil is so worth it.

I started out with a color called Ivresse, a reddish neutral, with not nearly as much orange as MAC Spice and slightly more depth. Now, I generally use Plaisir, a neutral light brown. I like the creamy texture and the fact that the colors have less orange than other brands. Other brands I’ve tried in very light shades were for some reason extremely dry and either too pink or too yellow. Plaisir is neither orange or yellow on me and easy to apply.

The colour I have is Plaisir, a fairly neutral, spice/brown colour. I found the pencil itself to be ok, not exceptional. It’s lasting power is comparable to lower-end products that you can probably find in the drugstore. The only thing that I really love about the product, is it’s beautiful packaging. I’m a big fan of T.LeClerc’s silver antique looks. I won’t be repurchasing again, just because it’s a bit too pricey for a non-exceptional pencil.

Milani lipliners are the EXACT duplicate to MAC liners. No kidding! I’m really impressed with the creaminess, selection of colors and the staying power. The best part is that they were only $2.49 each at CVS. A steal!! I purchased Hot chocolate (dark brown), Mahogany (brick red) and Dark Chianti (dark wine eggplant). They’re just perfect. I’m going back to CVS to stock up. No more $13 MAC liners for me.

OMG, I am in love with Milani. I have a lip pencil in Mahogany. It’s a dark red that actually suits my olive skin, and somehow manages to blend with almost all of my lipstick!! It’s wonderful, and I am going to buy more!
