I am over the moon for these lip duos. I normally steer clear of stains due to how dry they are, how patchy they apply, and how unevenly the fade over wear. But these – total opposite.
I have all four colors because I love this formula so much. Currently, I’ve been loving the shade “Lace”, which is a gorgeous orange that isn’t garish or overpowering.
The formula of the stain is almost gel-like, which I have found makes for a more even application. There is a dry-down period, which is uncommon for a stain, but somehow, it seems to provide a longer wear time. I love it for that, because when this finally does start to fade, it does so evenly and in a flattering way.
The gloss seems to be a bit of an underdog, as most people aren’t really all that excited about it, but I love it. I prefer a stickier gloss, as they tend to last longer. I really love how the gloss softens the look of the stain, and creates a gorgeous, juicy look. It’s also super hydrating.
The packaging could have been disastrous, but it actually works well because it’s VERY well made. I wouldn’t have picked a brush for the gloss (I’d have gone doe foot for that), but the pointed applicator on the stain end is lovely. I picks up just the right amount of product, and it’s super easy to apply with precision.
I paid $19 USD each for these at Sephora, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat due to the quality, considering how expensive some other (far inferior) stains can be. LOVE!!

I have been loving the look of the gradient lip and this is the perfect product to achieve that. I have the tint/gloss in cashmere which is the perfect “I just ate a cherry Popsicle” red. I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of it this summer. Like others have said, the stain is a lovely smooth gel texture and very pigmented so a little goes a long way. It’s not drying like a lot of stains and it lasts so long. I applied mine one evening and in the morning my lips were still a little tinted. As with using any stain, I would recommend exfoliating before use, but it’s not nearly as prone to settling or looking patchy as other stains I’ve used. All in all, a fantastic product and I’m thinking about getting the other colors.

To echo the review below, which is what convinced me to try these: oh my god what an awesome product. I have it in Chiffon, which is a pink stain with a light pinky/coral gloss that is supposed to give an overall pink/coral effect, but with my coloring and pigmented lips it turns out the most lovely & fresh deep watermelon pink. I can’t wait to try it with a nude gloss (MAC Boy Bait, probz) for something even more Spring-y.
If you have ever tried stains before and were like NOPE due to: patchy application, Sahara like texture, uneven wear, absolutely disgusting taste (looking at you, otherwise lovely Sephora brand stains), etc etc etc – but still love and want the look, you should REALLY try this one. The stain end is so smooth and strikes that perfect balance between liquidy and jellyish, glides over the lips and applies so evenly that I was like, shocked. The gloss is sheerly tinted, thick & sticky but not annoyingly so – it has great lasting power, and you only need a little bit to complement the stain. The combo has a pleasant, kinda fruity taste & smell. (I used an ampersand once in the beginning of this review, now I’m committed to using them the whole way through.) It’s very long lasting, very beautiful on the lips, and I just love love love it.
I only wish they had more colors since the others aren’t as appealing to me, and I have a feeling it might run out kinda quickly.
Sephora carries 4 shades (I uploaded a pic so you can see the overall situation), they’re $19 and worth every penny if you’ve always coveted that juicy, transparent, long-wearing, elusive perfect stain <3
(Which, clearly I have. Coveted it. When I was in high school I literally picked a whole bunch of mulberries from my backyard, baked them in the oven, ground them into a powder, and added them to Vaseline to make my own stain. It was kinda not bad, lol. The best part is I didn't know they were mulberries until years later, totally could've poisoned myself for this look.)

I didn’t see any reviews for this amazing lip stain here, so I really felt the need to share my opinion. I bought this stain/gloss duo in Cashmere from Sephora many months ago, and I am absolutely in love with it. The stain is a beautiful strawberry red, and the gloss is a sheer nude color. First off, I will say that the stain is the real star of the show here. It has a jelly-like texture that almost seems like it’s going on too thick when first applied with the flat, pointed doefoot applicator (similar to the YSL Glossy Stain applicator). But it absorbs quickly, and leaves the most phenomenal stain that lasts FOREVER with zero transfer. I have a terrible time getting any lip product to last on me, stain or otherwise. Dark colors especially wear off the inner part of my lips and leave me with the dreaded ‘ring of color’, usually within an hour of application. This does NOT wear off at all, even through eating, drinking or anything else. It doesn’t dry out my lips or settle into dry spots either, unlike most other stains I’ve tried. It’s become my holy grail lip product. The gloss is a bit sticky, but it also lasts an exceptionally long time for a gloss, and it doesn’t reduce the staying power of the stain at all. They look great together and on their own, and I’ve found myself wearing them both ways depending on my mood. When I was in the checkout line at Sephora today I saw these babies on the shelf so I picked up the duo in Lace and I am so happy I did! The stain is a stunning bright orange that looks amazing with my coloring (fair redhead w/ green eyes). The gloss in this one is a sheer pale pink that doesn’t change the color of the tint much, but softens the look just a bit. I’m now thinking I need the Chiffon duo as well (pink stain). I’m hooked!
