I absolutely love this colour on me. It’s not a true red, it’s cool toned, has the slightest orange hint and it somehow makes my teeth look super white. It’s not a true matte either; it’s something in between a satin and a matte finish which I actually find more flattering than a true matte.
I’m not very fond of the concept of something this pigmented in the form of a chubby stick since you can’t be that precise with the application. That kind of format is better for something more sheer and glossy. It isn’t a huge problem though, you can use a lip brush to get the edges perfect.
It has a minty smell and tingles slightly. The wear time is average.
I don’t think I’d purchase this in other colors since I’m not a huge fan of chubby sticks, but I’d definitely buy this specific colour again since I love it so much.

I got it on sale at the drugstore & I really like it but like some others said, it wears off pretty easily if you wipe it or touch it or eat food. And unless you put on a ridiculous amount, the balm part isn’t quite enough. I take the peppermint scent over plastic artificial fruit scent any day. And thankfully I do like the smell of peppermint. It goes on super smooth & I’m glad I got it.

i am an absolute sucker for revlon matte balms so i am predisposed to love this product, however i think it could be improved and this shade would not be my first choice.
this revlon line is so great because it gives you the whole matte lip thing which is a bit trendy at the moment but it doesn’t dry you out like a liquid lipstick will. these chubby lip pencils are all the rage at the moment and i’ve not found one that i like quite as much as revlon’s yet. they’re long-lasting, vibrant, moisturising, and don’t require a liner or primer to make the colour pop.
my one criticism of this shade in particular is that it just doesn’t stack up to the others in terms of pigmentation though? i wouldn’t say it’s patchy but it definitely will not give you the solid block of colour that all the other shades will give you, it’s almost more of a matte tint and it isn’t very buildable. however, it’s still super pretty and i find that i always get compliments on it. i’m just confused like ??? why this thing is not like all the other things? anyway. it’s got a hint of peppermint in it which some people mightn’t like but i hardly notice it tbh.
i would recommend swatching all the other shades if you can, the other reddish shades might work better with darker skin tones or anyone wanting a richer colour. however, if you’re fair or if you’re wanting a less intense finish then this shade will be great for you!
pros:
– great formula
– long-lasting
– quite matte but is still moisturising
cons:
– not as pigmented when compared to other shades in the range
– the peppermint might irritate some people

Not impressed!
Out of all the new Colorburst Matte Balm colors, this is the only one that really works on me. It is a lovely fun red toned orange. So why am I giving it such a poor rating?
I don’t want lips that smell like peppermint candy.
It goes on patchy
It looks like I’ve filled my lips in with a kids crayon
It doesn’t last very long and it wears off unevenly
The only positive is the crayon shape which makes it easy to get a clean lip line. I purchased this on sale for $10AU and even at that price I believe it was a waste of money.

This is a nice wearable slightly pink-based red, bright but not OTT–good for summer.
