I wear this lip balm every day. I apply it in the morning over the top of some clear lip balm and I love how moisturised my lips feel. The colour looks stunning on me and is a good alternative if you’re not a fan of lipstick but want something with a little colour. This is quite expensive for what is though and I’m sure there are cheaper options out there that would do the same thing.

I bought this in budding blossom, which blooms into a very bright, rose pink on my lips, which scared me a little at first, but turns out I love the color, especially in spring and summer. I prefer a very natural, minimalist makeup but this adds a bit of brightness. It’s sheer and moisturizing. Perfect. I’d hate to be without these chubby crayons now that I’m used to them. I have one in mega melon, too. I will repurchase until they are no more.

I had previously managed to acquire both the pink (Budding Blossom) and the purple (Flowering Freesia) through GWPs, and while I didn’t love how Blossom looked, Freesia melted into a beautiful enough hue that I purchased Poppin’ Poppy (the orange one). These are as comfortable as the rest of the chubby stick line, although they seemed perhaps a little more firm/waxy in the tube.
What I did not realize about this product was that it is a lip tint. I assumed incorrectly that the name “baby tint” referred to the sheerer amount of color payoff compared to the already sheer chubby stick standard line. I did not care for the ridiculous looking bright orange/coral hue my lips turned while I was out shopping (Thanks Poppy!). I’m sure it would look great on others, but it did not flatter my complexion at all.

My only regret is that I didn’t pick this up sooner. I’ve been obsessed with and shelling out for Dior’s Dior Addict Lip Glow in 001. The 03 Budding Blossom is a way less expensive alternative. It doesn’t dry out my lips and there’s plenty of product. Baby tint is perfect for me because I love the natural, flushed look it gives. You can either put on one to two swipes or build more color. Can’t wait to try it in rose and freesia! Sorry Dior, I’ll be repurchasing this one instead.

I have this in Budding Blossom and I absolutely love it! It’s a must have for me. It’s such a great shade for the summer. It’s moisturizing and this particular shade makes my lips look a little rosier and freshens up my entire makeup look. It’s never too much. It goes well with practically any makeup look and you can put it on without thinking about it.

Product – The Baby Tints are supposed to be sheer balms which then “”bloom”” on your lips to a custom, flattering shade. They have the same feel and texture as the regular Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms – smooth and easy to work with, and they do feel moisturizing on my eternally dry, cracking, peeling lips. The Baby Tints go on very sheer with only the barest hint of color, and the color transformation takes about 5 minutes for me. FWIW, I’m AAB/NC25 with a slightly ashy tone to my bare lips.
Comparisons – Not as dramatic a response as Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint or even Sephora Color Reveal lip balm.
Packaging – Very portable. Twist-up fat crayon pencil with clear plastic cap and plastic barrel that reflects the shade inside.
Overall – Love these for a no-fuss look, when I need a little moisture and tint of color.

I would not have chosen this product myself, but got it as a gift with purchase and actually really like it. I have budding blossom, the light pink shade. It doesn’t look like much at all in the tube and when you first put it on it just adds a bit of shine, but after a minute it develops into a still sheer but definitely pretty cool-toned pink tint. I like how moisturizing it is and how convenient it is to apply. I plan to repurchase and perhaps try other colours.

I got a set w Budding Blossom, Coming Up Rosy, & Flowering Freesia from Sephora for the Rouge 20% off & I like them! They were $20 for all 3 which is a steal since 1 costs like $17. They may be a teeny bit smaller than the reg size but not by much for real. flowering freesia is an interesting color: I was afraid that 1 I wouldn’t even use but I like it a lot it’s the most sheer of the 3. Rosy is brighter pink & Blossom is my fave it’s very natural. So the only 1 I don’t have is Poppy coz atm there are 4 in the collection. Like I said these are very sheer. Clinique Almost Lipstick has more pigment. These are nice to throw on w pressed powder, mascara, & brows. I sometimes like a no-makeup-makeup look! I am glad I didn’t pay $17 for ea. though this set made them come out to be approx $6-$7 a lipgloss which is very reasonable for Clinique can’t even buy Revlon for that! These are very moisturizing for being so sheer, I wish the colors were a little more pigmented/vivid.

This is a very “Your Mileage May Vary” product which depends on individual differences. It’s a light moisturizing lip tint that reacts with your skin to produce a colour unique to the wearer. It did not work very well on my pigmented lips so I gave it a 3 instead of a 4.
I got a mini of the colour Flowering Freesia as part of a gift with purchase, otherwise it would be $20 CAD for the full size, which is very overpriced.
The baby tint is packaged exactly like the rest of the Chubby Stick products; twist up, and pencil shaped. This is a design that works very well (but looks very casual if that matters at all) for application of a product that is supposed to be swipe and go.
Flowering Freesia looks bright violet in the tube but is super sheer when swatched on skin, this may make you think you need to go over your lips more to lay it on thick enough to see but this is not so. Just 1-2 passes over the lips to cover them in the balm is enough, then you just wait for the tint to show up. I did not wait around to see how it would tint my lips, most tinting balms seem to turn my pigmented lips a dark berry and while I do not care for that colour I figured I could live with it for casual runs to the store. Well let’s just say I should have waited to see how it would turn out, because when I finally checked up on it at the store it had tinted my lips a garish(on me) light fushia that my friend described as “grandma coloured”. Worse yet because my skin is kind of fair and lips are naturally pigmented it looked as if there was a ring of dark brown-red liner around the tinted lips. I think a product like this might work better for those with paler natural lips where the outline of the lip is not so obvious. This is the reason why I am only giving it a 3. This also left a bit of a pink stain that was visible on my darker lips.
At first I didn’t feel it was particularly moisturizing as it’s not too emollient or balmy as most chapsticks, but during the time I wore the tint balm my lips felt okay. They weren’t so moisturized that my lips were soft but my lips did start out kind of dry and I liked that it felt light like I didn’t have much on.
I don’t enjoy the surprise of these adjusting tint products and I only tried it since I got it for free, therefore I will not repurchase.

I own this product in Flowering Freesia & Coming Up Rosy. FF is my go-to, every day tinted lip balm. For me, it is extremely moisturizing and gives a nice, pinky-mauve-plum flush to my pale pink lips and this type of color goes well with my brown hair, freckles & green eyes. HOWEVER, it does leave a noticeable stain that sticks around for quite a while. If I wear this product all day, my lips will be stained well into the next day. Most color-changing balm stains turn bright fuschia on me but this particular version leaves an attractive berry pink stain. I love it and as long as I’m not wearing red or orange clothes, I’ve got this balm on.
Coming Up Rosy was nice but as mentioned above, the stain left behind is red-fuschia, which doesn’t look great on me so I never wear this. I don’t typically like a ton of color on my lips and this one was too much once the stain started to develop. It also left a chapped edge around my lips…not sure if there’s an ingredient in this color that doesn’t agree with me but the Flowering Freesia does not give me this problem.
