Are you kidding me? Ouch! Medicated seems to mean “menthol” for lip balms-and nothing burns worse than that. For me personally…and many others. The color was nice but that’s it

I really like this lip balm but am currently trying to use it up. I won’t repurchase because it isn’t cruelty-free. This product looks super hot pink in the tube but translates into a sheer, brightening pink when applied to the lips. I used to feel like I didn’t need to use anything tinted on my lips but as I’ve gotten older I’ve noticed that the color seems to be drained from them, especially early on in the day, and I can’t really get away with going bare-lipped to work anymore. The menthol aspect is awesome to me and the formula really does help repair my lips when they are mildly chapped. If you have something serious going on on your mouth then this might not cut it, but it’s nice for every day wear.

It does have a quite medicinal smell to it but it does help repair my lips when they are dried out. I put it on right before I go to sleep and leave it overnight. After about 3 days of using it, i woke uo and my lips were so soft

I do love that Baby Lips branched out to a medicated option. I like my lips to feel soft but I also want to feel like my lip balm is doing more than that for me so I like these. I would prefer the clear one to this one, though. I have a tendency to reapply lip balm multiple times a day and not just when my lips are feeling dry. I like to have something on my lips at all times. With multiple applications, this looks cakey and will create a pink “O” around my lips. Not cute. If you are only going to apply it like 1-2 times a day, this could work great for you. Since I apply multiple times a day, I can use this but then will have to switch to a colorless balm after. Because of that ONLY, I would not repurchase. I feel that is a personal preference, though.

I am shocked at the low ratings on this product.
First of all, the formulation of this product is perfect, to me. I applied this product to my lips before writing this to see if maybe there was something I was missing, since many of the other reviews described this lip balm as “gritty”. Now, rubbing my lips together repeatedly, I feel like there might be a SLIGHT gritty sensation but honestly I never noticed it before and it’s not even unpleasant.
This product gives a very soothing menthol (cool and tingly) sensation. Yes, it tastes like mint due to the menthol, but what’s wrong with that? This product leaves behind a bright pink sheer tint on your lips which manages to look natural after a few coats as opposed to a BAM! in your face type of look (although I’m sure you could build it up if that’s the look you want.) I find this product to be moisturizing and healing. The price is low (around $3) and the packaging holds up well and is cute.
My only gripe with this product and the reason I won’t repurchase is because Maybelline tests on animals.

Hmmm…I didnt like it. I didnt know it was tinted that was my mistake. After I put it on It feels kinda gritty =/. I feel like it just sits on my lips and disappears within 30 mins.

Did nothing for me…lack of color and waxy non moisturizing feeling. Waste of $2.99

I really don’t understand the concept behind the Dr. Rescue line by Maybelline. I imagined that based on the name “Dr. Rescue” and because it states on the package its “medicated” that I would be getting a balm that would somehow be advanced in hydration but wrong. The first ingredient is Menthol which is an irritant which is usually used in lip plumper. The lip balm smells like Vix Vapour Rub and feels gritty on the lips. I really loved the colours in this range and was disappointed with the formulation. It didn’t plump my lips and it certainly didn’t hydrate them either.

I love this product. It gives my lips a light pink tint. Its a pretty pink. The only reason I would probably never buy this again is because I am not a huge fan of tinted lip balm, but I really do like this lip balm.
