This is for Dior Addict Lacquer Plump in 426 Lovely-D
Pros: Interesting formula, it’s a thin lip stain-like formula, but it has a moisturizing, comfortable feeling. I love this color for an every day look
Cons: The plumping effect is not very noticeable
Overall: 5* – it’s a unique product and I like the color for a “your lips but better” look

I purchased Sweet-D (a Sephora exclusive color), Diorly, and Dior Lovely and they’re great. Admittedly, the plumping part of their name is slightly misleading – they aren’t going to be tingle-y like the lip maximizer – they contain hyaluronic acid to “plump” the lips with added moisture. The’re pigmented so well that I only use a little bit and the color lingers after the lacquer fades away. If they expand their line, I’ll be purchasing more.

I could not wait for these to come out in store so I ordered mine online at Sephora @ $43 CAD – being a VIB Rouge allowed for free shipping which when living in Canada will always be welcomed (seriously, shipping is so expensive here). I picked up the shade Sweet-D which is a pretty bubblegum pink. The formula reminds me of an older Smashbox lip lacquer that was almost the exact same colour and type of tint/gloss, but Dior’s formula is so much more comfortable. There isn’t much of a scent, at least nothing I can pick up. There is a faint sweet taste to the formula, and it is comfortable and gel-like on the lips. The lacquer goes on a lighter shade and deepens as it leaves a beautiful tint to the lips so beware when you see the colour in the tube – it will be different once applied and settled on the lips. The formula separates and allows for the shinier gloss to stay on top. It’s a pretty unique experience; it’s almost like you have applied a lip tint first and then a gloss on top. The sheen to the gloss is a wet reflection, really gorgeous! Bonus – it is not sticky in the least The immediate plumping aspect of this formula is minimal but the idea is that it will keep lips plump over time since it has skin-care ingredients in the formula. I noticed some negative feedback on the Sephora website reviews, most of them being from users who did not understand the difference between a lacquer and a liquid lipstick. This is a lacquer, meaning it is a pigmented gloss and not a lipstick. You will definitely have to reapply after eating/drinking etc. but that goes for many other lip products. The bonus here is that the lacquer deposits a long-lasting tint so you will have some colour left behind!
