There is a particular way I use this balm for – it is my hydrating lip primer, one I use before doing any makeup look.
I do like richer, balmier lip products for my nighttime routine. Not only does this Caramel balm smell delicious, but it adds no greasy feel or look to the lips. I leave it on while I work on my face and right before I add lipstick, I blot it down with Kleenex and it creates the smoothest canvas without altering the lipstick finish (especially if you are about to use mattes).

Yet another wonderful gem found in the checkout line at Sephora. This product smells just like caramel. The application is not too sticky, or too thin like vaseline, just perfectly smooth from using your finger, or a brush to apply as well as rubbing your lips together. Has subtle color. Lasts The packaging is excellent. As you use the balm, over time, it stays clean. I love this. Would definitely purchase again.

I love the look, the cotton candy smell, and the packaging, but its performance as a lip balm is meh. It’s not that hydrating and looks terrible over dry lips, so I really only use it when my lips are already in good condition due to better products. In winter, I use it layered over a more moisturizing balm for the sheer nude color payoff and sweet taste.

I’m not one to pay a lot for a lip balm. I dislike the stick version from this brand, it dried out my lips. But I really love this stuff. It lasts and really hydrates. This is a treat for my lips when they need extra moisture. It’s a sweet smell but not overpowering. It’s not sticky or thick. You don’t need a lot of product. The pot is shallow but wide which makes it easier to use than most pot lip balms. But it is very expensive. It’s not a must, but if you are looking for a nice balm and want a treat, it’s a good one.

I just used up my little pot of this and have worn it through the different seasons so I have a pretty good perspective on its performance. While it does not last long, it actually did a really good job of moisturizing my dry lips once the weather started turning cold. My lips always get dry and start peeling once fall/winter comes, and this really helped decrease the amount of flaking. If you don’t mind reapplying frequently I would recommend. It smells so delicious as well!

Was so keen on this lip balm. I was lured in by the buttery texture and the scent, but the price for so little product is nowhere near worth it. Here’s the breakdown:
Pros:
* smells delicious, not caramel though. More like a cotton candy with a lemon sugar undertone . Though, the more you smell it, a chemical undertone also lingers
buttery, smooth, non sticky texture
Cons:
*barely any product. I hit the bottom of the jar within 2 or 3 days of using it. Because it is so buttery it is easy to use more than say a pot balm that is more waxy
* not moisturising enough. For something that says hydrating I expect it to leave my lips soft or have some kind of effect, but it doesn’t do a whole lot except provide temporary comfort and smelling good
Would not buy again

I got a sample pot of this, and I love it. I really love it.
Fresh products are just far too overpriced. It’s not good enough to justify a $18 price tag.

This product had a lot of promise for me because I absolutely LOVE the way it smells and the texture is very nice. However, it is not as moisturizing as my go-to, Chapstick Original (the black tube). It’s pretty good, but to me doesn’t last on the lips long enough because it’s too thin of a formula whereas the Chapstick is waxy (but not overly sticky). I tried it both during the day and as an overnight treatment. It’s almost 100% gone by the morning and my lips don’t feel great. I will finish the tub but will not repurchase.

This caramel lip balm cost $18 , and it is so small ! Way over priced . It claims to smell like caramel, but it smells more like cotton candy, which is very disappointing. Yeah it makes my lips somewhat soft, but chapstick does the same thing. Will not repurchase, not worth it.

My lips have been ridiculously dry for a few weeks. Nothing seemed to work. I saw this at the checkout stand at Sephora and thought it might be a brown color. But it’s sheer and smells like caramel. It’s extremely hydrating and non sticky. I only need to apply it a couple times a day, not a couple times an hour. I highly recommend purchasing it. Great smell and it really works!
