Posie Balm works really well on its own or when used over Posie Lip & Cheek Stain – which lasts longer when using this. Keeps my lips hydrated thanks to the Sodium Hyaluronate and Mango seed butter formula, and gives a hint of color that’s light and perfect for day time use. Smells great too, in a floral-rose scent which may not be to everyone’s liking (keep in mind it does fade fast). Slightly on the pricey side but worth it.

Pretty worthless… Thank goodness I got it in a kit.
No color payoff, finish doesn’t look that good, it’s too slick, it’s actually drying… I got suckered in by the packaging, but the tube actually feels very cheap and looks cheap close up. I wouldn’t take it even if someone were to offer me one for free.

I’m not a fan of the smell but the texture is so soft and it’s so moisturizing that I would buy again. if you like floral scents, you’ll love this.

These moisturize fairly well and the colors are subtle but nice for everyday but the smell is just awful. It’s a cheap rose scent that reminds me of old fashioned play makeup. It fades pretty quickly so it was initially useable but after a week this balm started to irritate my lips pretty badly so I’m tossing them. Too bad because I got a three color travel set for a decent price and they seemed like they would have held up and lasted a while.

I love this lip balm! It adds a little bit of a pink color, but has the texture and hydrating qualities of a lip balm. It’s really helped my chapped lips and it smells AMAZING, like roses. I definitely recommend it. Plus, the packaging is really pretty.

This is a boring lip balm full of chemicals that I cannot even recognize. There is no color payoff and the plastic packaging looks cheap. There are much better lip balms for a fraction of the price.

This is essentially an overpriced lip balm. It feels nice on the lips and has both inoffensive taste and scent. But as far as color impact goes, even to say “sheer tint” is being far too generous. It’s supposed to be a gentle pink, at least that is how it looks in the tube. In reality, there is NO color payoff, and I’m pretty light-skinned so it’s not as though light shades won’t show up on me. It’s the equivalent of nearly clear gloss…definitely not worth the money.

These balms are charming but not for the price.

I bought this recently but use it constantly, as I can’t pass up a tinted lip balm that comes in a bright, clean, pink shade. Below are my takeaways from the product.
Pros:
-BEAUTIFUL packaging that’s sturdy and doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s just a lip balm, and I like that it’s pink and shiny. It feels heavy in the palm and clicks shut securely. I like that the product reaches the edges of the metal packaging, which reduces the likelihood that it will break off or melt into an unusable mess in hot weather. I wish all lip products came in this exact packaging.
-Very moisturizing formula that feels great on my lips
-Sheer color payoff, which is a huge pro for me as almost ALL products masquerading as tinted lip balms are just slightly moisturizing lipsticks in disguise. I have the hand-eye coordination of a toddler and can apply this without a mirror.
-Flattering light neutral/warm pink shade. It’s a slight peachy pink and my favorite lip shade. I’ve always loved the posie tint shade but hated the lip stain application that dried out my lips and didn’t last.
-Now. Please don’t throw things and run me out of town for saying this, but . . . . I LIKE the smell of this product and am putting it as a pro. This product smells like roses. I think it’s beautiful. Many people probably will not like the fragrance, so I’d advise a sniff before buying.
Cons:
-Doesn’t last more than an hour or two on the lips. Maybe others will have better results, as lately my lips have been drinking up all lip products, even tried and true moisturizing balms. For the price, reapplying and going through the tube quickly isn’t an appealing thought, but my lips are at least left soft and not dry once it does wear off.
-Too expensive for what it is. Benefit irks me overall because most of the price of their products seems to be for their kitschy packaging and advertising. This doesn’t deviate from that brand model, as I can’t imagine that a lightweight, sheer lip tint cost all that much to develop and produce. In fact, these products are DESIGNED to be worn in conjunction with the matching lip stain (which I also think is overpriced at $30 for a runny, goopy, not-lasting substance). So essentially they developed a drying lip stain and a super sheer lip balm ON PURPOSE so that consumers would be urged to buy both products to get the looks they want. Is there going to be a third product range designed to make lip products actually last on the lips?? This balm might be worth $18 if it lasted longer or at least contained SPF. Even though I like this product and wish that more products like it were available on the market (tons of lip tints, but most are too pigmented and/or not moisturizing), I probably won’t repurchase because of the price.
I recommend PosieBalm for people like me, on the hunt for something moisturizing and sheer. This falls short of the ideal form of Tinted Lip Balm, however, due to the relatively high price and lack of lasting power or SPF, but it does come closer to perfection than many other products.
