This is the best lip balm I have. It is so nourishing and it tastes great. I wear it to bed every night as part of my night ritual. It has not SPF but it is still wonderful for when you need some moisture in the lips. I am really bummed though that it is no longer carried at CVS. I guess I will be able to find it online somehow. I highly recommend!

A great alternative to chapstick. This stuff smells nice, has no color, and has mediocre staying power. I ended up using it to tame fly aways and to keep my cuticles moisturizedm which I can easily do with coconut oil. I can live without this!

I really enjoy this lip balm. I’m often dehydrated and suffer from dry lips. This lip balm really makes a difference in the feel and appearance of my lips. The scent is very tropical yet not too sweet. There is no tint to this balm, it is just a satin finish wax formula balm. I find it more effective and less waxy compared to The original Chapstick. It doesn’t make my lips warm or irritate it like Blistex. Also, it doesn’t leave a mucky film like Fresh Sugar balms. Packaging is super cute. I love Alba Botanica’s colorful and playful designs.

Initially, I wasn’t that impressed with the product, because it goes on a little thick and sticky. However, I decided to retry it recently because I was at a complete loss for what else to do (my lips have been INCREDIBLY dry and cracking and peeling despite finally breaking my habit of biting/licking my lips, trying burts bees, soft lips, carmex, coconut oil, aloe, hand cremes, vitamin B, and constant hydration). I’ve been using this lip balm for just a few days, and I can already see an incredible improvement in the moisture, softness, and overall quality of my lips. If you don’t suffer from really chapped lips, you may not be able to get over the definite odd texture and stronger than most scent, but if you do, give this a try for a few days, and you will easily be able to get over the slight annoyances for how effective it is! It’s also great as an overnight balm because the thicker texture allows it to stay on your lips and keep working much longer than most balms. Since it lasts longer, I feel like I need to reapply less, so I’m hoping that means the balm will last longer than most balms.

I rarely find lip balm that actually improves the texture and moisture of my lips. The only one I have found is jack black and its a bit expensive. I am thrilled to say that this lip balm is amazing. It smells nice, is very creamy and goes on smoothly. It has quickly improved the dryness of my lips and is a great base for lipstick. I found these for 1-2 dollars online which is a steal. All the flavors are yummy. They are cruelty free, vegan and organic and I highly recommend this lip balm.

maybe i got a bad batch, but this stuff was just horrible. Turned gritty after about 3 uses, uber waxy and sticky on my lips. I normally try to use up lip balms even if I don’t care for them, but this stuff is going in the trash bin NAO.

Not a favorite lip balm, at all. But, hey, it does work when desperate. You know what really got to me though? It smells and feels like a cheap Hawaiian fruit punch lip balm that was made with too much burnt plastic and who’s maker decided to make the scent ten times stronger than the smell of any normal lip balm. Maybe the burnt plastic part was a stretch, and to be frank, it does smell exactly like Hawaiian fruit punch that soccer moms buy in bulk to get their kids to stop whining. This is the exact drink smell that highlighted my (and almost every child in America’s…) childhood. Too overly flavored, sugared up, over the top. Don’t get me wrong, I do like fruit punch, but this specific kind? Let’s face it, CHEAP. It’s practically known for embarassing kids by giving them fruit punch mustaches. And when the smell is this strong, yuck. Plus, I feel like it’s covering up a plastic smell. Can you say fishy? I can still smell it on my lips, and I put it on over 5 minutes ago. I stopped using Lip Smackers glosses and balms in early Middle School, and the last of a balm even smelling like Lip Smackers was Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast, which started it’s own cult with me as it’s leader for my last year of Middle School. Anyways, a little off topic. The cap is also really hard to get off. And when you try to pull the cap off, you start twisting the lip balm up or down because when you grab the cap, you also grab the part that twists it, and you end up getting no where at all. It’s not a good surprise to find it smashed into the cap when you finally get the lid off. Otherwise, great idea. The feel isn’t very nice. It is a very chunky balm, not grainy like with sand in it, but in chunky bits of balm. It’s not that big of a deal, but even if you don’t have a chunk on your lips, it feels chunky somehow. Blame that on how waxy it is. I like Burt’s Bees Beeswax, a lot, but this is ridiculous. And when you rub your lips together, it’s thick and greasy. It feels like Chapstick (the brand) on. I hate the feel of Chapstick, even though I practically had a summer affair with the Moisturizer kind. But after no use, then use again, it feels like greasy car wax on my lips and almost feels like it weighs them down. And a lot comes off, which is probably why it feels so heavy. I really enjoy using natural and organic lip balms now, and have tried a lot, but this is one I mention to people when they are looking for a natural lip balm, but I never recommend it. I recommend Burt’s Bees, EOS, and Yes to Carrots. The reason this lip balm is a three on the lipstick scale is because it works. My lips are visibly smoother and feel more moisturized for longer. Is going through all my personal negatives worth it though? For me, no, there are so many other lip balm that have the exact same concept and work just as good if not better. I was in no need of more lip balms when I bought this, and now I don’t know what to do with the two lip balms I have a love/hate relationship with, Burt’s Bees Acai Berry and this one. They kind of just sit on my night stand untouched or lay in the bottom of my purse. Both are too sweet and sugary. This expirience also made me not want to try out the Coconut Cream version of this one, and also not buy the gloss. Speaking of gloss, I tolerate this nowadays by putting this on, and putting on my current favorite gloss- Victoria’s Secret Lip Gloss in I Want Candy. Not the best color payoff (although pretty) but smells addicting and covers this lip balm’s scent. As a matter of fact, my New Year’s resolution is to wear more colored lip balms, lip glosses, and lip color in general. Well, you have read my 100% honest opinion and listened to my rant and get sidetracked too. Not sure if that last part was helpful, but it might have been interesting for some (or not). It’s a close call, but I woln’t repurchase again, not even if it’s as cheap as $3.

A hard lip balm to find, but well worth the effort to track it down. It’s a bit tacky in texture on your lips. Not something that would make you want to rub your lips together, but I suppose that’s a good thing. It has long lasting staying power, which surprised me. It’s extremely moisturizing, stays on even through hours of talking and outdoorsy activities. The smell is fairly nice as well. It’s not overpowering and it doesn’t smell cheap and annoying either. Definitely a great purchase that I’ll be making again.
