The packaging of this lip balm is very pretty but that’s about it.
The balm itself isn’t very moisturizing but has a pretty pink tint to it. It wears off within minutes and leaves my lips feeling bare and slightly dry.

I tried this at the store and loved it. Its soft on application and feels so moisturized . It looked coral on me. My lips felt hydrated and balmy. I love the gorg rose gold packaging.. so classy. The bullet is so classy to flick out in public for touch ups and for travels!! yeahhh ..
But, I prefer Dior`s After Glow range which has more staying power and smells like mild mint.
Overall, I would recommend if you’re traveling and need 1 summer fav item.. then this is it!!!

Nars promotes this as a lip balm. Thus when I did the very first review for this, I put it in the lip treatment category, then someone started this one here so I added my review under this one too. Nars does market this as a lip balm though, not a lipstick and the proper name is “NARS Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm”. I specify that in case they bring out more colors than just Orgasm, in the Afterglow Lip Balm line.
This product is one of those great hybrids between a lipstick and a gloss. Not sticky like a gloss but tones of shine. It is in your typical Orgasm peachy – pink with gold shimmer shade. As of now, that is the only color available. I bought this on a whim to hit the free shipping mark on a Sephora order. But it has delighted me. This is the kind of product I LOVE in the summer. Comfortable, juicy, shiny, pop of color on what might otherwise be a bare SPF only face that brings out color and flush in my nw20 deep winter complexion. This thing was made for summer.
The only cons I will say, is that some may find it too expensive for what it is (which is true) and others may not like the sheen that can almost look a touch metallic. It has the same look (but peachy, instead of rosy) as Anastasia’s Metallic Rose lip gloss.
I am very glad I decided to buy it. With the end of May looming, this was perfect timing for this purchase. I just have to be sure I don’t completely ignore my other summer lippies. 😉

I’m 63 and – often – I don’t want to be bothered with lipstick and especially not lip gloss, so this is perfect.
It’s lip balm – I have no expectations of it staying on for very long – in fact it would feel gooey if it did. But it is great as “something” instead of bare lips and it does leave my lips smooth.
It isn’t like the Orgasm lipstick – which is heavier and has way more of a sheen and is lighter than the lip gloss which is ultra glossy (to me).
I don’t need a mirror to apply it, the case is a lovely rose gold that I can se in the bottom of my black bag (!) and I don’t feel like a teenager wearing it.
I love the Orgasm color and if that works for you, you might like this.
I think it will be a great summer go-to!

This was advertised as a super hot product. I fell for it-not like me! AfterGlow Lip Balm
Packaging is good. Twist up lipstick that’s rather sheer hence, balm. Looks orangey but, definitely has a pink base with a peachy finish. No scent or flavor.
I applied it like a regular lipstick. I did go over my lips a lot as it really is sheer-as a balm usually is.
My biggest disappointment is that this balm feels creamy going on but, has extremely little staying power. Less that 30 minutes on me. I was surprised! I looked in a mirror and did not see the color I applied. I saw a strawberry pinkish, almost stain like residual. I don’t lick my lips, did not apply anything under this balm nor did I eat, drink, kiss or anything to remove it. It’s shimmery when I put it on. Much of that disappeared, too.
I ordered this direct from NARS without testing it or seeing it. Big mistake. Sephora had already sold out of it on May 20.
Definitely not worth the price. No staying power. Color doesn’t look the same after a few minutes. Felt a little dry after a short period of time.
I suggest testing this product in the event you consider purchasing NARS Orgasm Lip Balm. I have 30 days to return it. If the shipping isn’t too costly, I will. I won’t wear it again. It’s not how I want to look 30 minutes after I do my makeup.
I purchased Dior Balm and feel this lasts for hours, doesn’t change color and isn’t drying. Those, I’ll re-purchase. FYI, this was my 1st NARS lip product. Huge let down for me. I can’t compare their lipsticks to this balm.

Update: Someone started a different review for this after I did mine that doesn’t have the full name (doesn’t say Afterglow and isn’t in the lip balm category as this is marketed.) So I put a review in that category too.
