Impulse buy at a grocery store, I am not sure why I picked it up! I love the smell of this and it works super well. As mentioned in another review, I have very dry, super chapped lips and this actually helps. I made it through an entire winter in a very dry, cold climate without any cracks or discomfort! Will buy for as long as they make this. One of two products that have worked for me – the other is Vaseline cocoa butter lip balm in a tin. The pro of this one vs vaseline is that it is not greasy and sinks right in, but it is more expensive. The packaging on this one is a bit weird in that it works sort of like a push pop and the bottom gets kind of gunky, with the top secured by a piece of tape, but the product is so good that it is ok.

This is my HG lip balm. I get dry, chapped lips, especially in the winter. Unfortunately I can’t use a lot of the popular lip products because I react. My lips LOVE this product. I have tried both the original and Salted Caramel flavours. No reaction, just a nice, hydrated barrier on my lips that lasts for hours. No dry/chapped lips this winter! It also works well under lipstick. Not only would I recommend this, I regularly buy it for friends (who are also now converts). I know people say you have to push it back down before you put the lid on. I don’t find this to be an issue – I just give it a bit of a shove with my lips while applying and then the cap goes on fine at the end. Do yourself a favour and spend the $5 on this – your lips will thank you.

Great balm for the lips and very moisturizing. Great smell, but you have to push it up and down with your finger. But I love this product and I have just about every high end lip product. Very affordable, non drying, and just all around a good stick of goodness. You won’t be disappointed adding this not only to your collection but to your purse. A good replacement for lanolin.

Is love this lip balm. It goes on very smooth, lasts quite a while, and makes my lift very soft. This has become my go-to balm, used by my entire family now.

I’m a big fan of all natural lip balms and conditioners. My go-to product for the past year or so has been a stick of Badger Balm, which is about twice as big as a regular sized chapstick, which I love. I was at a specialty grocery store seeing if they carried Badger Balm actually when I saw this Nova Scotia Fisherman balm. The packaging is cute and it is a chubbier stick than regular chapsticks as well, and the ingredients looked great, so I thought why not. I’ve been using it for the past couple of days and I really like it. I personally think it smells delicious, and the colour isn’t so bad.. it goes on smooth and lasts a long time too. My only complaint is that I wish the pop top was connected by more than just sticker, cause I will probably break it and then I might lose the lid. And you have to push the balm back down before you put the lid on, which is somewhat unhygienic. I still prefer Badger Balm, however, its overall a great product and I would recommend it!

The packaging is a short, chubby, baby blue & white pop-top tube attached with a cute sticker of a rope knot. Despite it’s small size, this tube caught my eye while wandering a grocery store aisle.
Nothing seems to fix my lips, especially during winter. I am always looking for a miracle lip treatment, and after trying lucas paw paw, vaseline, nuxe, blistex, plain natural oils, exfoliation, carmex, chap stick, dior, shiseido, soft lips, baby lips (you get the idea) I had given up. Some provide relief, some protect, but effects are temporary and negligible.
Nova Scotia Fisherman costs less than $5.00 CAD, has natural ingredients (100% according to the label). Upon opening the tube, the product is not pretty: it is a dark green/brown (from the Nova Scotian sea kelp) solid stick with a waxy, herby smell.
I put it on before bed every night for 3 nights and the results? Well, it turns out that this might just be that miracle treatment I was looking for. My lips are looking perfectly healthy already, zero chapping, totally healed and protected. I will return to edit.

This is still my go-to winter balm. I absolutely adore it!!! Best 5 bucks I ever spent and I use it as an all round fix. Beard burn from your boyfriend? Winter dry skin? Raw nose from tissues? Yeh, this WORKS!!
