This is an okay lip balm, nothing I would purchase in a full size, but good for prepping the lips before adding the Lip2Cheek overtop. And, if you have any dry flaky skin on your face, you can use a little to prep your skin before applying foundation or powders. Now, to be perfectly honest, I use Eucerin Aquaphor on my lips and Egyptian Magic Healing Balm on my face every day and I have no plans to change that routine since it works wonders for me. I love rms beauty products, but this isn’t one of them. It came in my Naturally Perfect Palette and I do use it when travelling with this palette however, it’s just not worth purchasing outright in my opinion.

This is one of the only products from RMS that I’m not totally in love with. And honestly, I don’t know how to rate it because I know it will be great for others. Unfortunately I have SUPER sensitive lips and they are really unhappy with some ingredient in this. It makes them even dryer and a peeling mess by the end of the day. I’ll use it up on littl dry patches and maybe my cuticles, but won’t repurchase.

My lips are dry. The first thing I have to do before applying any lipstick is lip balm or else my lips feel uncomfortable. I purchased this balm and it has been my to go product.
I love the subtle vanilla scent and how lightweight this feels on the lips. It is clear and is not sticky or waxy. I also use this with a little sugar to exfoliate when my lips are too flakey. I have noticed an improvement on the condition of my lips since I only reapply twice a day as opposed to 5+ with my previous balms.

Good quality, good smell – it’s a good lip balm, it does what they promise to but I just don’t like it can’t give me the feeling what other lip balms give me. This lip balm is really moisturizing but it doesn’t seek into my lips no matter what. But it works perfectly with lip shine. I will repurchase if I really have much money and have no idea what to buy.

UPDATE: Decided to purchase since it is such a great luxury product for me. I love the subtle vanilla scent, and I like the way it looks on my lips. It is by no means a super moisturizer, but it will keep unchapped lips comfortably moist.

I have both of RMS lip balms. One is cocoa and the other is vanilla. They are two different products in my opinion. The cocoa one is grainy. I don’t know why. I didn’t care for that one nearly as much as the vanilla. Vanilla goes on smooth.
The vanilla and cocoa both have very subtle scents, almost undetectable. They both moisturize about the same, which is not enough for the RMS Lip2Cheeks that are very drying.
Overall, I have been a devotee of Pangea’s lip balms for four years now. Four years prior, I had tried every balm under the sun. High-end (La Mer, Dior), drugstore end (Nivea, Aveeno), and natural end (Caudalie, Dr. Bronners). I literally tried every top rated balm that I could find. In the end I was left with just three total: Pangea’s lip balm, Ole Henriksen’s lip salvation (slight pink/mauve color), and Jane Iredale’s lip drink (SPF). In my mind, nothing tops the Pangea balm, and I’ve gone through many tubes. I’ve tried all of Pangea’s flavors as well (orange, rose, lavender).
So despite my intense love for the RMS line, I knew that it would most likely not be better than my beloved Pangea, which has no color, no spf, and no bad ingredients as well. I was right about that fact, but these are surprisingly not bad. I actually am considering purchasing the vanilla flavor. With this balm, it’d be more of a luxury thing, same like with my Fresh products. You pay for the experience. They are overpriced and the results are so-so, but using those products are such a pleasure. I actually enjoy dipping into the pot and warming the balm with my hands. If you don’t care for that, I’d stick to the twist-up Pangea. I don’t think I’d put it on when my lips are extra chapped or before Lip2Cheeks, but I could see myself dabbing it on before leaving the house for errands for a natural, simple look.
Price is $25, whereas I can get one Pangea balm that would last just as long for $9. You can see here that purchasing this should be driven by love of luxury not by practicality, i.e., my lips are parched. I mean, if you’re going to pay $25 for a balm, I’m assuming you’re somewhat driven by at least a slight love of luxury anyway. It has no color, no spf, and is just all right with moisturizing. It is a no-frills purest of the pure kind of balm.

I have become a very recent devotee of RMS (like in the last four weeks). I seriously love this lip balm and…no joke here…I don’t like ONE lip balm on the market besides this one. I hate that because this one is very expensive but I’ve tried about 100 over the years and every one of them ultimately makes my lip flake, or they contain ingredients I don’t want to swallow throughout the day (which we do with every lipstick and balm). The one thing I can’t stand about this product is the packaging – a glass tub. I saw on their website that glass is used in lieu of plastic because plastic leeches into products and eventually degrades them. I appreciate that, but it’s just not sanitary or convenient to have to put your fingers into a tub several times/day. I wrap a tissue around my finger and do it so I don’t have to wash my hands every time I want to apply lip balm. Like, how can you apply it in the car? Or when you’re walking down the street? Even so, I now own three of these balms. One for bedside, one for downstairs when I’m too lazy to walk upstairs, one for purse. Expensive but totally worth it for the product itself. Oh, and it lasts for HOURS. Even after eating you can still feel it on your lips.

This is the only lip balm that actually works for me, I have tried other natural lip balms such as Burt’s Bees but it is just not enough. This lip balm stays all day, and I have one in Simply Vanilla which tastes fantastic I really have to lick it. In comparison to the general lip balms that I have had in the past, I have chronic dry lips and general lip balms just ‘hydrates’ it without actually ‘healing’ it no matter how much water I drink too. RMS does both! By the time I put it on, my lips become so soft and supple… I have never had that before (no Im not exaggerating). It doesn’t even make that really glossy or balmy look. Another ++ thing about this balm is that you can actually put it onto dry patches on your skin (whether it is face or body)! I haven’t tried it though, so I am not sure how effective it is.
