I just bought this but I am ready to review. I recently fell in love with Nivea lip balms , Blackberry , strawberry and the peach one . Mainly due to the texture, lovely scent, soft glowy colour and price . I thought an spf one would be a good addition expecting it to be lemony from the Color . The texture is quite similiar ( not overly oily , nice subtle gloss finish ) , but scent is horrid . The scent is like a coppertone sunscreen on my lips, it is bitter to the taste and smells of sunscreen . The lip balm leaves a white cast that is quite subtle but not a very nice look if you have deep lip lines . My main concern is the scent that is almost impossible to wear even on the face.

Seems like a divisive product! I like this, it’s not as greasy or shiny as the blue classic care one, and offers a respectable SPF30 for the lips for a low price. It’s an opaque lemon yellow stick balm that does leave a residue on lips, it’s not fully transparent – it is definitely more a function over form type of product. However, it stays on well enough during brief dips in the pool although reapplication is still required. It isn’t super moisturising, but is comfortable to wear and protects against dryness. Just not the best at treating already dry lips.
As it doesn’t leave a sticky glossy finish, it doesn’t act like sticky fly paper for my hair. As I’m very pale anyway, it’s also possible to use it in a way that disguises the weird yellow or off-white cast it has – with a lip tint and some careful blending using my finger, I can get it to look like a simple tinted balm. Or, mix it with a little cream blush used on top – it doesn’t seem to work when using lipsticks, won’t really mix well. But for an effective SPF30 lip sunscreen, this can’t be beat on price, so I’m happy to let the weird colour slide.

I recently got back from a 10 day vacation in South America. I was spending pretty much all day outside in the hot sun doing various activities. I bought this for the trip. Everyone should know that lips are actually a pretty common place to get melanoma, so a lip balm with SPF is essential if you’re going to be spending much time outside. This lip balm is among the higher SPF balms at my drugstore (SPF 30), and in general I trust Nivea as far as drugstore brands go.
As far as protecting my lips, I do think this balm did a good job. I reapplied it several times a day on my vacation, and I didn’t notice my lips feeling burned.
That said, the balm also didn’t moisturize my lips very well. Throughout the day I was alternating with ROC Enydrial balm for actual hydration. I would have preferred if I didn’t have to carry two balms around, and if the Nivea had been able to hydrate AND protect my lips. But it didn’t.
It also tasted gross. It tasted like it was a product that wasn’t intended to go on your mouth, like if you had just decided to apply Coppertone on your lips. A weird bitter sunscreen taste. I don’t know if it’s fair to expect a lip balm with SPF to not taste like sunscreen, but I’m sure they could have figured out a way to not make it chemically and bitter.
Anyways, I have trouble believing that this is as good as an inexpensive lip balm with SPF gets, so I would not repurchase.

I honestly can’t remember whether this product left a white cast on my lips, but I think it did. I’m very pale naturally so I can’t quite tell sometimes if there’s a white cast or not. Either way, I couldn’t even use the product 1/4 up because after 5 or so applications over 2 days, I had an allergic reaction to it. My lips swelled and chapped painfully deep, I developed red bumps all over my lips and mouth area, and rough patches in the corners of my mouth. I had to quit using it and go to pure lanolin to let my lips heal, which took about a week and a half. Never again.

I got the nivea lipbalm (with SPF)
The smell of the lipbalm isn’t that bad and i got it for only 14rb($1 in US) so its very cheap ???? I don’t recommend this lipbalm because it makes my lips ‘worse’ when i use it(my lips is like very dry and also white when i use it)
I will never repurchase it
I recommend getting vaseline/nivea lipbutter/baby lips/nivea vitamin shake ????

This is basically a stick of sunscreen for your lips. Completely white, greasey feeling, and mine expired before I used it more than twice (before I knew how terrible I looked with it). It may have SPF in it, but there are so many other lip products that have SPF in it that do not look pure white…definitely do not recommend.

This lip balm is terrible! It’s chalky white when you apply it and it doesn’t apply smoothly at all. It gives you the dead look if you know what I mean. It also feels very dry – probably from the zinc oxide.

WARNING. This product will leave white streaks on your red lips! Don’t expect others to ignore your look. You will get many weird stares and questions if you go out on the street.
After reading some 3.0-4.0 reviews on MUA, I tried their suggestion and used lipstick on top of this lip balm. well, the white streaks were dyed red, looking much less hideous than before, but still the lip balm is still visible in the form of red balm/flakes as if you applied 3X the normal amount of lipstick.
OKay, this is 1 of the 3 products that destroyed my confidence in NIVEA… I am still fond of many other NIVEA lip balms and a few of their body wash products but I will think twice * twice before I purchase anything new from this brand.

“OMIGOD, what kind of stupid lip balm is this?” That’s exactly what I thought upon application. I thought it was going to be clear but it was so white and opaque! I threw it out immediately. Where am I ever going to wear this?
I would never repurchase this. Never.

worst lip balm I’ve ever tried. i bought this since i wanted a lip balm with SPF but this left me looking like i had no blood on my lips, the color was just pale while. it does not moisturize at all, my lips were dry like i wasn’t wearing any lip balm. threw it away in the trash after one use. will not repurchase
