great vegan cruelty free formula that doesn’t melt at all! glides on so smoothly, and feels so amazing. the chai spice lip balm is my personal favourite. will buy again in other flavours!

My favourite lip balm. Lovely buttery feel rather than waxy. I like the Tangerine best,

i keep a bunch of these in my coat pocket because I love the scents and the flat/oval tube shape that doesn’t roll away if you drop it. The labels are cute too. Hurraw! balms have all-natural scents that are just delightful (note: they’re not sweetened, so you smell them more than you taste them). I have fun reaching into my pocket and surprising myself 😊 my faves are coffee bean, earl grey, vanilla orange, and grapefruit. I also have the tinted cherry, raspberry, and hazelnut. They are all extremely sheer (almost undetectable unless you use several layers) and the color doesn’t last long at all, but they’re good for when you just want a little somethin-somethin.
One lippie off on my rating because the balm formula is a tad more thin and slippery than I prefer. They’re vegan, so they’re made with candelilla wax, which unfortunately doesn’t provide quite the same thickness and protection of beeswax. Maybe if they added shea or cocoa butter to the formula, that would help. These are not balms to use on seriously chapped lips— if that’s my situation then I go for Carmex or Aquaphor. But they are fine for daily maintenance and have a nice shine. Just expect to reapply frequently, as they sort of “sink in” to lips after a while.
trustingSeahorse2
I don’t understand why everyone loves these. I have the cherry one and didn’t do anything for me. Color is also very faint.
shyVenison4
Lovely lip products that are great value and last a long time. I have tried several of the tints / scents and have loved them all. They are quite subtle and the colour doesn’t always last a long time, but they leave my lips feeling soft and comfortable. perfect for everyday use.

It’s hard to find a vegan lip balm that doesn’t immediately vanish the minute you lick your lips, smile or just breathe in too hard. But this one is good! It has a lovely smooth texture, actually moisturises, and feels nice on your lips. I’ve got the Earl Grey flavour and it’s lovely and fresh smelling.

This is one of my go-to lipbalms. I buy in various flavours. I have very dry lips in the winter time especially and go through lipbalms. This is one of the good ones, together with Burts Bees with natural ingredients and good moisturising ability. Thumbs up from me.
chicWildfowl2
I bought the peppermint flavour which did absolutely nothing for my lips but dry them out even further. Do not buy if you have dry skin
artisticSeagull8
Absolutely the best!!

nope. made my lips dry and flaky after two days use. feels nice going on. pleasant scent. drying. back to my totally unnatural smith’s rosebud salve. it works.

Best lipbalm i have come across!
adoringCardinal4
Expensive for what it is – I think for £10 I was expecting much more! Feels quite greasy, and doesn’t last very long. Smells pleasantly of rose. Does the job I suppose but not worth the money!
EDIT: As a previous reviewer said, this is creamier and more moisturising once you get to ‘the core’ of the product. Still not great however!

ALLERGY ALERT: This product, has peanut oil. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way because the packaging was too small. I didn’t have a huge reaction, but wow, that was close.
drearyCrane0
I have got both lip balm in pot and in stick. I thought they were the same, but they don’t. Apparently the pot one is much better. It applies smooth and easily. A little goes a long way. It does moist my lip, and without a greasy file left. And I love the sweet rose scent. Will buy it again and again.
soreClam9
As with any lip treatment…as long as there is no menthol or camphor…it works for me.
After I started using this stuff…I dropped Carmex like needy boyfriend!
I live in Minnesota where we have Winter temps as low as 20 below zero.
This balm has helped my lips sooo much.
I do agree, however, that the fragrance can be a bit cloying.
Also, this is great to rub on your cuticles at bedtime.
thriftyThrush5
This is not a terrible lip balm, but it’s not my favorite. It’s too sticky for my liking and thus doesn’t play well with lipstick, so I only use it at night. I like the coconut scent/taste, the hygienic squeeze-tube packaging, and the price ($8) but I think there are much better balms out there. I will finish my tube but I won’t repurchase.
relievedPaella5
This lip balm dries out my lips and makes them peely. It reminds me of the Nivea/Labello balms. Kind of a waxy texture, but not very emollient. I was hoping for more of a buttery/thick texture. I don’t feel that this penetrates my lips. Sort of just sits atop my lips until it gets wiped away or dries up. I don’t find it particularly moisturizing. It also smells bad.
worldlySeahorse9
I found a jar of this lip balm in my fridge that’s probably been sitting there forever back many years ago when I had bought prolific amounts of isomers skincare products listening to Manuela talk her science fiction talk on television! But I will never waste my money on her products anymore Bc it’s all the same with her! Lifting & contouring! Whatever ????But with this lip balm it’s totally uncanitary Bc it’s inside a small jar you got to dip your finger to apply ! No good! & it has lavender in it & that’s not meant for your lips! I’m going to finish using it by applying it before I shower ???? to keep my lips ???? from drying out! But I would not apply it before going outside in the sun ☀️ Bc lavender with the sun ☀️ produces a toxic reaction on the skin ????????

I prefer my lip balms to be on the thicker side and a bit waxy and matte so they stay put and actually soften my lips. Sephora’s pro balm is my fav of all time, but I like Isomers in general so thought 3 for $12 was a pretty good deal (and Sephora is constantly out of their balm). Well this one isn’t what I’d hoped. The jar is pretty tiny. I can barely fit my pinky in so I use a lip brush (one lippie off). The jars I got were all hard as a rock. I have to really swirl and push on them with my finger to get it soft enough to grab just a small amount so I have to dip and dip and dip (another lippie off). The balm itself is smooth and non-waxy so it does leave a very natural shine on your lips and is very soothing and moisturizing. Unfortunately it doesn’t last very long. Maybe 1/2 hour (- one lippie). The scent is mildly lavender, but it doesn’t taste like lavender which is a good thing. The taste of very neutral. Overall this only fair and I won’t be purchasing again.

I love this lip balm. I use it daily as a lip moisturizer and it has just the right amount of tint to make my lips pop! I love it. Color I wear is Natural Rose.
boredTacos5
Loved this natural rose lip balm I got from my birchbox, used it everyday but just can’t afford to buy it as a lip balm all the time! Beautiful colour and quality though.

I’m not a fan of lip balms but this product came as a sample so I tried it. There’s a good amount of color here but it felt slimy on my lips On another note, I found that I can use it as a blush.
brainyApricots8
I just bought this at my Target and love it. It stayed creamy and soothing the whole time I wore it. Never caked or dried up. I will be buying more.

I love this product.. I have it in the berry extract and the vanilla. Right now they only sell it in the UK, but it gives the nice shiny pout, and I feel it nourishes lips well. A++++++

I took advantage of an online offer for Laura Mercier Magic Lip Balm just before Christmas as my lips were a little on the dry side.
I had wanted to try LM products for a while, after had being told that they are fantastic. However, after using the “Magic Lip Balm” for two weeks, lips started cracking and after two weeks, were bleeding.
I didn’t like the taste of the balm either; too cloying and “scenty”.
What an expensive let down, even with a discount!!!!!
thrilledClam4
My mom absolutely hates Laura Mercier but this is the one HG product which you will always see in her make-up bag (and she is a one picky woman). Long story short I have then used this lipbalm as well and oh my – it is such a nice product!
First of all it has a nice semi-sweet, cotton candy-esque scent which I like a lot. Similar to Laura Mercier lip glosses I believe. Secondly it actually looks like a regular lipstick and thanks to the cute little packaging you can take this lip balm everywhere with you and it doesn’t get all messed up and gross overtime as most lip balms do. The texture is amazing and glides on your lips like a dream; surely there is no colour to this balm but it works amazing underneath say a drying matte lipstick or just on its own for those days when you can’t be bothered.
I feel that whenever I use this product my lips feel great and look plump, which is something I like. The only contra is the price tag but if you are willing to spend a little, definitely try this one out.
If you want to read about other amazing (maybe more affordable) lip balms you can check this blog post review below. Hope it helps!

About me: NW13 (neutral-cool toned, very fair), blue eyes, Color season is True Summer, Baumann Skin Type is OSPW.
This is a great lip balm, but I can’t believe I paid as much as I did for it : ( It’s really expensive, and after using it daily, it only lasted me 2 months. Granted, I did use it under my eyes as well for the spf. It did its job well, I just wish it was about half its price.

My favourite lip balm alongside Dior’s creme de rose. I love this – application is sheer and easy. Makes lips feel great. I use it as a primer before applying gloss/ lip liner. Smells great, tastes of creme brulee! yummy!
dreadfulPretzels0
This lip balm has just the perfect amount of shimmer. It’s not goopy, smells great, moisturizes, and adds a little something to an otherwise bare lip. I love it and wear it everyday. If you hate the cheap frosty look that most shimmer lipsticks and glosses give, try this instead. I just wish it was closer to $15 instead of $22. It’s definitely overpriced.
ardentCrane7
As others have said, this is a cute, shimmery almost-gloss but what it is not is a true lip balm. After a week of using this instead of my trusty shea butter, my lips are dry and chapped. It smells wonderful and having spf in it is a great bonus but it’s definitely not moisturizing enough me.
madRelish9
I probably reach out for this more than any other lip products I have.
This is not your typical $1 chapstick that’s for sure. not even close to burt’s bees nor Nivea or anything in that nature.
You can feel the Shea Butter on this, very moisturizing and perfect for winter. Not sticky and doesn’t have a funky smell/taste. The only thing that really sucks about this … The Price. it has a hefty price tag. $22 is crazy for a lip balm, but I have tons of chap sticks here and there and got thrown away, except for this Laura Mercier one.

*J.R. Watkins RASPBERRY Lip Balm*
Found a bunch of these over at my local Grocery Outlet for $1.50 so I thought why not?
The raspberry flavor is very light and the lip balm is surprisingly moisturizing. The product feels a little thick on the lips, but doesn’t come off as greasy. I do notice a slightly gritty texture when I rub my lips together but it could just be that my lips are dry. I also like that it is 100% natural.
I normally put on lip balm before I go to bed (after brushing my teeth) and so after applying this for a few nights, I woke up with consistently soft and supple lips.
The reason why I probably won’t buy this product again is because lip balms only work for so long before they start to lose their edge. I’ve gone through tubes of lip balms, knowing they’ve helped out with my chapped lips for about a month before the product stops working.
If you’re like me and like giving your lips something new to smack on, give this one a go!
similarOatmeal0
I tried this lip balm because it’s natural and was available at my local health food store. As I’m typing this review, I just noticed it says “medicated” on the tube along with “contains menthol and camphor”, which probably explains why I dislike it. It was the most drying lip balm I’ve ever used! But again, I try to avoid lip balms with menthol and camphor as I don’t see how this helps anyone with dry lips considering it just dries them out more. I will not buy this again, maybe a different type as opposed to medicated but definitely not this one.

This product was pretty…good!! I got my lip balm in a blueberry tin. The scent is very natural and smells amazing! The consistency of the product is thick-very luxurious and cooling on the lips. The tin can get slightly annoying, but overall is fine. My one problem is the price. I got this product on sale for 2 bucks, but it normally runs 6 or 7 I think. It’s a great product, but it compares to my Chapstick. Nothing amazing except for scent. If this is on sale-grab it immediately!
joyfulTruffle1
I usually like products from The Body Shop, but their lip balms are just not good. I have tried the honey one and a seasonal one in glazed apple. Both were poor.
PROS: smell is amazing, nice shine when applied, consistency is nice.
CONS: My lips actually feel more dry after using these which completely defeats the entire purpose. After continual use (re-applying because my lips feel dry) it actually becomes quite uncomfortable.
I will not buy anymore of these.
debonairWasp9
honestly, when I put this on my lips, it feels like I am literally coating my lips with a weird waxy layer of grease.
it feel SUPER petroleum based even though it doesn’t seem to appear on the ingredients list (or maybe I’m just missing it?). And it literally just creates this thin, slick barrier between my dry lips and the air around me which, yes, it means my lips won’t be getting drier but at the same time, it’s also providing absolutely NO moisturisation. My lips don’t feel at all hydrated and the thin waxy coat just kind of sits there and won’t go away.
Definitely won’t EVER be repurchasing especially since I didn’t even finish the entire tub.
debonairJerky1
Smells great, actually works decently, but is literally so greasy that it slides right off my lips.

Did nothing for my lips, they are still chapped. Hate the feeling of it on my lips. Like the shimmer it has though. I only bought it to accumlate my purchases to $30 + it was on sale.

I’m reviewing the limited edition christmas lipblams in Black velvet apricot and merry cranberry.
let me start by saying that if you take in consideration that a lipblam costs € 7 and these cost € 5 for 13 g (0.45 0Z) you’re getting a lot of produc tfor a little price (at least for a the body shop product). They regretfully come in jars (not hygiënic) but these jars are filled to the brim. Some are difficult to open. (My apricot one keeps getting stuck)
The product itself is very moisturizing and actualy has a good stayingpower. This is importend becaus the lipbalms have little, golden glitters in them, so the lips get a nice glossy finish without overdoing it.
Black velvet apricot is a nice neutral, pink shade that goed on pretty sheer on the lips (would be nice on top of a nude lipstick). Merry cranberry gives of a darker color. it’s not as red as n the jar though. it gives lips a nice redish hue.
The balms smell devine!!!! My favorite is the apricot.
i’m very happy with these balms, especialy because they dubble up as lipglosses. I would repurchase this if it wasn’t limeted edtion.
ecstaticPup8
This smells so fruity! Yum!
The Body Shop’s Hi-shine lip treatment is a thick clear gloss that has little particles of glitter in. The glitter is obvious but it is suitable for daytime wear as there is not so much as to look glitzy.
It slides across your lips from the slanted end of a squeezy tube. It smells so nice that you have to try hard not to lick it all off! It’s not longwearing! I don’t know how much of a “treatment” it offers, as my lips don’t feel “better” after using it, but it is a nice lip gloss.
I can’t comment on price because this was a freebie, one that I will look into purchasing once this tube has finished!!
relievedWigeon6
I’ve been using this lip balm for almost 10 years now! It’s a great basic balm. It’s not smelly. It does sit on your lips a bit, but if you don’t touch your lips to any surfaces, the balm stays on top protecting the lips. My lips are dry and will crack and bleed if not moisturized. This balm takes such good care of my lips they rarely feel dry or tight. I wanted something that doesn’t build-up on the lips overtime and moisturizes for a long time. This is it! I love it!
needyWasp1
My fave lip balm, heals chapped lips and is overall suited for everyday use. Not too expensive, good packaging and great ingredients. I do recommend it.
finickyOtter7
I am not a fan of this lip balm
– I do not care for the ‘taste’ (it smells/taste like wax)
– I do not find it better than any other lip balms i tried
– It doesn’t suck, it works fine as an ordinary lip balm, but that is about that. I wouldn’t repurchase

Elsewhere in Makeup Alley, I’ve also reviewed another all-natural lip balm, John Masters Lip Calm. When my Lip Calm ran out, I was about to purchase again when I saw this — Logona Naturkosmetik Lip Balm, and decided to give it a try.
As comparison, I’m citing the top three moisturising ingredients of each product. John Masters Lip Calm has olive oil, castor bean oil and sunflower oil, while Logona has castor seed oil, hydrogenated coco glycerides and candelilla wax. The only ingredients similar to both are wheat germ oil, calendula extract, linalool (or lemon/lime) as well as vitamin e. Compared to Logona, John Masters contains more ingredients. Both, however, do not use parrafin (thankfully!)
However, this is a review for Logona Lip Balm, so here are my thoughts. For one, I really, really like the swivel stick that works like how a regular lipstick does. So it ensures application of the balm is easy right until the end. For John Masters, I didn’t like the fact that I had to twist and turn a little ring at the bottom, and the stick of balm was being held in place by a plastic stick… so quite a bit of wasted when the balm ran out.
In terms of moisturising factor, Logona’s texture feels thicker and heavier. Ironically, though it feels more greasy, that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily more hydrating. Rather, the balm sits on top of your lips like a waxy residue. If you have lips that are dry but not peeling, then Logona Lip Balm is definitely emolllient enough — apply throughout the day and your lips return to normalcy soon enough. If you have lips that aren’t dry, then the Balm is also useful in keeping lips nicely moisturised with just a light slick.
Alas, I’m prone to lips that flake and peel (living in the tropics can be cruel!). Here, I find the heavy texture of the Lip Balm doesn’t help. The Balm superficially settles into the cracks and it can be disastrous — the more I apply in the hopes of banishing dryness, the more unsightly my lips appear, and even yellowish (the colour of the stick as a result of the botanical oils used).
All said, Logona Lip Balm isn’t that bad. But those with chronically dry lips will likely end up disappointed with the product’s performance. Now, if only John Masters Lip Calm could adopt the same packaging as theirs…
selfishCake4
I have used it for over a week now.
Maybe it is just me, but the product doesn’t help me lip at all. Also, it does not absorb, all it does is stay on my lip as a wax layer.
Price and packaging are fine, but doesn’t feel like it is doing much. Might not purchase next time.
offendedPup3
I buy these in huge amounts to last me for the upcoming year. The company and customer service is AWESOME, and the balms are kickass. I don’t use any other balms anymore, and haven’t for the past 5 years. These smell great, moisturize so well, and I love the oval shape so that they don’t roll off and under furniture. I love the coconut, almond, grapefruit, black cherry, vanilla, sun, moon, coffee, chocolate, and pineapple papaya. But honestly, all of the balms are fantastic. Highly recommended.
amusedStork9
Great moisturizing lip balm! Slightly glossy and the tinted versions offer a subtle sheer tint. 2019 Current favorite is raspberry. Smells yummy.
I have Black Cherry – slight tint and smells wonderfully cherry. I prefer Cinnamon Tint over Black Cherry and would repurchase. Slight cinnamon taste and smells like Dentyne gum. I also have Root Beer and will purchase another flavor to try. I also have Earl Grey flavour – no tint but great scent.
I would like to try the Night time one as it is advertised as having more moisture.
I realize Hurraw offers a spf. I might buy it if I saw it in my local store. I am quite happy with All Good Lips spf 20. Zinc oxide is 8%.
I purchase from a local health food store in my area (Fiddleheads – NA.) SW Ontario, Canada

I bought the chai and green tea lipbalms. The chai is vanilla and spicy and i love it. It glides on nice and smooth and does well keeping my lips moist. The green i like as well but with a slightly more subtle flavor. I wish these were easier to find, as i would love to buy more.

This product has dried out my lips. The only thing nice about it is the shine it gives to the lips.
mercifulOtter6
This lip balm doesn’t do anything to moisturize your lips. One hour after applying it, my lips felt more dry than before. I tried using it several times and found that any other lip balm does a better job than this one.
Can not recommend at all. Save your money for something better.
brainyMuesli9
I love this Dr.H lip balm. Although I’m not crazy about the pot version the stick didn’t work as well. I like to massage this balm at night for a few minutes and I do think that it lessens the tiny lip lines that can form around lips. it plumps lips as well therefore is great to use before applying lipstick, balm, wait, blot, colour. One negative for me is the lavenderish smell as I despise lavender smell. There’s no lavender that I can see in the ingredient list but there we go. Still, great product, a staple for me, even with the smell, the effects are too good to stop using it. It also lasts a long even with daily generous use. Recommended.
wingedRaisins7
This smells amazing and gives a subtle luminous shine. However, if I am going to pay $25CAD for a lip balm, it needs to be more pigmented so I can justify the price (lip balm and lip stick in one). This is pretty much clear on me. Would have been nice to get a wash of pink. That said, ignoring the exorbiant price, this is one of the best high-end lip balms I’ve tried so far because it’s in stick form and looks sophisticated when you pull it out of your purse and is moisturizing and smells good. For reference, I also like Mac’s TLC but this is slightly better.
shamefulPorpoise9
I was really excited to try this lip balm out. I wear eye makeup, but because I’m sensitive to most foundations I usually skip it and somewhere along the line my lips started missing out. I use The Body Shop shea lip butter from time to time but that’s it. My first thought was that this is ridiculously expensive for the tiny amount. It has a sweet smell that some might dislike but I sort of got used to it. It goes on smoothly and is very sheer without being sparkly. I didn’t notice any plumping effects and it could be more moisturizing but the color is so pretty and it gives my lips a natural shine that helps me look more together. I would buy this again just for the color, and not for the moisturizing or plumping effects.
wearyCod4
I’m afraid I have to echo the other commenters here: great product, entirely too expensive.
The scent and feel of the product is great (if a little thin for a balm). On my lips, there’s a slight shimmer and pink shine that perk me up and make me look healthy. And the packaging is that of a nice lipstick. No messy fingers, no hesitation about pulling it out in public.
The price is the same old story with all Laura Mercier products – too darn much, but you pay it if you can. I just looked on the LM website and saw this priced at $20, though I would have sworn I paid more. So either she’s lowering her prices, or my mind is going. I certainly hope it’s the former!
