I have spent ridiculous amounts on lip balms including Drunk Elephant (numerous times) but once I found this my search has ended; this is perfect. I actually bought 2: one for work & one to apply at night when I’m home.
I was religiously exfoliating, applying balms prior to lipstick, using lip creams, the whole 9. My lips would still be dry and flaky; this has really hydrated and keeps the moisture in all day.
It’s a thicker formula yet not goopy. The lemon scent is not over powering whatsoever; it has more of a sweet lemon scent (akin to the one sold by BBW, C.O. Bigelow.)
It’s not cheap (~ $17) yet it is worth every penny for the results it gives.

I love lemony anything but I’m not crazy about this lip balm/treatment. I got a sample from Sephora because they were sold out (I’d probably have purchased a tube because I live in Canada, it’s winter and, like I said, I love lemon) but I’m glad I didn’t purchase this. Applied, it looks and tastes/smells a lot like Nuxe’s Reve de Miel lip balm (though that is in a little pot) – it has that same almost “gritty” texture. And my lips started to sting and burn, something that never happens. I’ll try using up my little sample container and see if things improve but as it stands, I wouldn’t (re) purchase this. I get much better results from so many other products.

This is a moisturising lanolin lip balm without the ‘sheepy’ smell. Its very emollient and retails for $17AUD. This is exactly the same as the flavoured ones except this is $10 more and has lemon essential oil instead of other essential oils. I like that fact that this does not stink but it really felt like vaseline! There was no renewal or exfoliating properties imparted by lemon essential oil. It it were $7 I would say give it a go, but at $17 its definitely not worth it, if you are curious try the flavoured ones first since its exactly the same. The best lanolin based lip balm is still DHC lip cream, which is much cheaper and provides better results for me personally.

Nothing is better for your chapped lips than lanolin, and this lip balm is a pleasure to use, tastes delicious, and looks pretty on the lips too with its fine shimmer. The best I’ve found.

First ever lanolips I ever purchased.
Lanolips has been the ONLY brand of lipcare to ever heal my chronically chapped lips that I suffer from regularly. I have spent years trying to find the perfect lipbalm that hydrates and moisturises my lips. This is also very long wearing which is a bonus.
The ONLY con to this lip ointment is just that to me, the lemon oil is a little too overpowering.

Really really love this! Soothes chapped lips instantly, only gripe is that you really have to squeeze it out of the tube as it semi-solidifies in cool weather. Adds such a nice touch of gloss to the lips without being tacky and sparkly.

I purchased this lanolips product one week ago as I suffer from very dry lips during the winter season. I have to say that this is the best product I have ever used on my dry lips. It feels really rich upon application and it started to ease my dry chapped lips within a few hours. I apply this product at night and it is still on my lips the following morning, leaving my lips feeling soft and hydrated. My lips no longer look and feel sore and chapped, and this is only after using the product for one week. It is a little on the pricey side (I paid £10 from Boots), but it is definitely worth the price as my lips feel normal again. I will definitely be purchasing this product again once I have run out.

Smells divine, I love this stuff. Not as much as the 101 Ointment, but it’s close!

I love lanolips but unfortunately did not love this. It is very hard to squeeze out, especially in the winter. It has a lovely natural lemon scent which isn’t over powering and it tastes very slightly of lemon. I find that it didn’t moisturize my lips any better than the average lip balm and that it didn’t last very long. The original lanolips ointment lasts longer on me and I found it more moisturizing. Not sure why it didn’t work for me, I think it may be the bees wax in this formula. For some reason lip balms and creams with beeswax in them don’t do too well on me so I try and buy products without it. I bought this because the lemon oil is meant to gently exfoliate your lips but I’ve been using this for months now and I can’t say I’ve observed this. Not bad, but it didn’t do wonders for me and I prefer the 101 ointment.

I have spent years looking for a lip balm that lasts and properly hydrates my lips without me having to reapply it every 5 minutes. (My lips get very dry, especially during the winter.) Also, many lip balms tend to leave white lines around my lips. I’d almost given up when I came across reviews of lanolips on the Internet, saying how amazing it was. I gulped at the £8.16 price tag, especially as I’d spent so much on lip balms in the past… But after reading the reviews I felt I needed to at least give it a go.
Well, I can only say that it’s the only lip balm I’ll never use again. It moisturises my lips for hours after one application, doesn’t cause those white lines, makes my lips look glossy… I also wear it every night and wake up with much smoother lips.
It also tastes like lemonade, really lovely.
It’s well worth the money, especially as a small amount moisturises your lips for hours. The only downside is when it’s cold, squeezing the product out can be a nightmare – it turns into a rock inside the tube! (Although saying this, the newer design seems to have a larger hole for the balm to come out from, and I’ve had no problems with it yet.)
My HG of lip balms!
