A very thick heavy duty balm that softens and repairs my dry crusty flaky lips. Gives lips a glossy, non-sticky soft shine. Seems to blur lip-lines slightly and plump out my dehydrated lips. Very comfortable and doesn’t dry lips more like ordinary chapsticks and glosses seem to. Delicious bakery scent like real whipped butter and coconut icing. Because its so thick I find it hard to squeeze out in winter if its stored somewhere really really cold. Still I find the squeezy tube really great with the slanted end you can spread the balm evenly with. I use mostly as a lip balm but I’ve tried it on my dry cuticles a few times when they got a bit dry and sore and it seemed to help. Just repurchased in the new apple scent.

I really love this thick, soothing, glossy balm. I only use it on my lips, it is thick and comfortable, not sticky. It makes my lips look soft and blurred.

I’ll start out by declaring myself a long time fan of Lanolips original 101 multi-balm. It’s been my go to for years- It’s as important to bring with me as my mobile and housekeys!
The other day I was running low, was at Waitrose (where I’ve always been able to restock) but they were out of the original. Generally being a fan of coconut- I thought I’d give this a try.
Practically speaking it performs as expected. But on each application it smells/tastes like old butter. Totally not coconut. I will actually buy Vaseline next time if the original is not available, and this is the only alternative.

A coconut flavored & scented variation of Lano lanolips. It is made from lanolin, coconut flavoring, tocopherol (vitamin e) and coconut oil, packaged in a lip applicator tube. The blend makes it much easier to squeeze out than the plain lanolin and goes on thick. It lasts on my lips quite a while, which I need, without feeling tacky or overly greasy.
The coconut flavoring is nice, smells even sweeter, which some may not like (sort of like how some scents like vanilla and chocolate are scented in candles to impart a definite aroma of sweetness). I can’t see using this as a multi-tasker because of the scent, even though it’s “naturally derived”. But I guess if my hands had a terrible case of the chappies and all I had in my purse was this, then I’d use it as a hand cream.
I like having non-mint lip balms around so I will probably buy this again, depends if any of the other varities of Lanolips are available at the time. I am already feeling obsessed and wanting to try every variety I can get my hands on. But this one is definitely different enough from any other lip balm I’ve used, enough to consider keeping some around all the time.
