I like this better than Laneige, which really didn’t do anything for me. Not only is this brand cruelty-free, but this really hydrates my lips. It’s great for the winter but in the summer the product felt too soft in the heat. I was put off by the sweet buttercream scent at first but it grew on me. So I took off a star for that. I like pot packaging better than the squeeze packaging because all of the product can be used and the pot re-used. ( I took off a star because it is not glass. I am trying to reduce my plastic use.) I use a little spatula to remove the product or clean hands.

This is my new favorite lip balm and a must for any liquid lipstick lovers. I picked this up at my local HEB’s pharmacy, where I also picked up the new Milani setting spray. The balm has a faintly sweet scent, similar to fruity candy, that dissipates after application. It’s a very moisturizing formula, more oily than waxy. I noticed a difference immediately after my first application; unlike wax based balms, which just sit on my lips, this one sinks into the skin. I love using this and then blotting away the excess before applying liquid lipstick as it provides a comfortable base and makes sure my lips don’t dry out. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the packaging. Jar packaging is very unhygienic and not travel friendly at all. I hope Milani changes it to a squeeze tube in the future.
Pros:
very hydrating
oil based formula sinks into the skin
sweet scent
perfect base for liquid lipstick
Cons:
jar packaging is unhygienic
not travel friendly
pricey for a drugstore lip balm

I really wanted to love this. The ingredient list looked quite nice and the promises suckered me in. My main issue with this product is it will not adhere to my lips whatsoever. I can apply it before bed and it’s completely wiped off by morning. So although it doesn’t further dry my lips out, it feels like I’m just rubbing oil on them. Which makes sense given the fact it’s mainly mineral oil. This balm will not stay on long enough to do anything for dryness issues. Last but not least – tub packaging is unhygienic. That’s something I’m usually able to look past but not when the formula sucks so badly.
I will not repurchase.
