I could not use this lip balm more than once due to the smell. Be warned!! It STINKS! This stuff smells like old prune juice.

Ok, so while this lip balm has a couple cons that are hard to ignore, the pros MASSIVELY outweigh the cons.
Straight off the bat, this product has an overwhelming scent and flavour of some fake fruit that is really unfortunate. If this is a pet peeve for you, you’ll hate this balm. But, if you can get past it, then you will reap the benefits. Also, yes, this balm leaves a white caste on your lips if you really slather it on or if your lips have dry spots. If you use it sparingly though, it’s really not a deal breaker. This balm is a TREATMENT, so remember it’s function over fashion.
Ok, now the pros! This stuff is freakin’ HYDRATING! First balm I’ve ever used that feels like it is feeding my dry lips, rather than temporarily covering up the dryness and making them even more thirsty after the balm fades. Also, this balm heals and soothes like nothing I have ever tried before. Excellent for cracks or peeling. I use this balm during the day when I need it (applied sparingly as to avoid the white caste effect) and before I go to bed I give it a good slather all over my lips. In the morning my lips are soft and hydrated and so so happy. I gently exfoliate my lips when I wake up and I’m good to go.
After using it for a few weeks now, I can safely say this stuff rocks. It’s not as nice smelling as the lip treatments from Fresh, but it delivers way more results. Paula’s Choice ranks this as one of the best quality lip treatment options on the market, and I agree.
If you want something to TREAT and PROTECT your lips, look no further. If you want something that is simply ‘pretty’ then look elsewhere. Honestly though, good luck finding a better product at this price point. This is a gem, just don’t expect it to be something it’s not!

I love Blistex products, most of them work really well for me except for this one. It made my lips look disgusting, lip balms are supposed to make your lips look smooth, shiny and clean. When I applied this lip balm it just gave me a white/pinkish coat on my lips, it felt like I was wearing frozen pork belly fat instead of lip balm. The taste wasn’t so good either. I had high expectations from this product since it seemed like it was going to do wonders for my lips, I’m extremely disappointed at this lip balm. The cost of this should be no more than 2 dollars considering the quality of the product.
