the price is so high that i dont know if i want to repurchase but this is the only spf lip product that is colourless that provides sun protection without irritating my lips.

I like the balm for its qualities, but the smell is horrible and the price is way too high for what you get. There are other cheaper and better alternatives.

I used to be one of those people who actively disliked petrolatum based lip products, and I avoided them like the plague. Until I had a severe case of dried out & cracked lips that is. This was the only thing that really helped. Within a few hours my lips were comfortable again, and a day later it was completely resolved. I do still tend to favor the more natural lip balms, but when it’s really cold outside and with the central heating blazing this is the only balm that really prevents my lips from drying out like a prune. The smell & taste is not like the original 8 hour cream, a little more fresh & sweet, and it’s also slightly more emollient. The tube is handy, and I prefer this instead of a little jar/can because you don’t have to dip your finger in it. Okay, the price is pretty steep for a lip balm which consists for about 95% out of vaseline but that’s the only con, albeit it being a big one.
