This is my new favorite thing. It’s super cheap—I got a 2-pack of the Watermelon Blast (which is delicious) for about $5. The other 2 flavors are Sugar Plum and Mixed Berry.
This is Carmex’s “natural” offering and the ingredients list is pretty good tbh. It’s really emollient & comfortable, a little heavy but not in a bad way. It sticks around, too. I have very dry lips in the winter and this 100% works with them. Normally only heavy-duty lanolin products help my winter lip situation but I heartily recommend this stuff.
The watermelon is like…really yummy lol. It’s a good thing I got a 2-pack because my 6yo daughter stole one.
ricinus communis seed oil (castor oil), cera alba (beeswax), theobroma grandiflorum seed butter (cupuacu butter), raphanus sativus seed extract (radish seed extract), flavor, astrocaryum murumuru seed butter (murumuru butter), rhus verniciflua peel cera, rhus succedanea fruit cera, vaccinium macrocarpon seed oil (cranberry seed oil), ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin c palmitate), tocopherol (vitamin E), copernicia cerifera wax (carnauba wax), avena sativa kernel flour (colloidal oatmeal), stevia rebaudiana extract (stevia extract), helianthus annuus seed oil (sun flower seed oil)

The ingredient list looks great, so why do I hate this lipbalm?
PROS: Taste.
CONS: It’s solid and needs to be warmed up and it is not lasting moisture at all. In fact, the more I use this, the drier my lips get.

I was expecting to like this balm a lot, but I ended up being shockingly disappointed. I got the plum scent, and oh my gosh it smells and tastes horrific. I have only ever tried one other lip balm that was as stomach-turning as this one, and that one was like 97 cents so I didn’t expect a lot. I found the texture to be too slippery too, and in spite of the gross fragrance, I tried to soldier through to see if it actually moisturized well. Sadly, it did not, so it was an all-around complete fail. I like lightweight-yet-moisturizing balms to use during the day, and I hoped this would be one of those, but it wasn’t. It is, in fact, a citizen of Garbage City now because it was so bad I couldn’t even hand it off to my husband.

I absolutely love this product because it’s super moisturizing without being greasy at all. Also, it smells great without offering an overwhelming taste. In fact, I can hardly discern a taste at all! I have this product in the Sugar Plum scent, and it smells divine, not at all artificial and candy-like. I feel that I must mention that this is NOTHING like the original Carmex products in texture, scent, or taste. (I personally do not care for the original Carmex formulation at all.) This new, colloidal oatmeal lip balm formula is pretty much the only lip balm I’ve found that does something both immediate and lasting for my chronically dry lips! I’ve used all sorts of drugstore and health food store products, and this is my HG product. I live in a very dry climate, and this stuff is a true life saver!

Edit: I bumped this up to 5 lippies because there’s 0 reason it shouldn’t be.
This is brand new on the market as I post. It is possibly the only product I will ever like from Carmex as I hate their other options. Comfort Care Colloidal Oatmeal doesn’t a drying minty sensation but it does taste like a berry vitamin. The hydrating properties are definitely what’s earned it 4 lippies. It is very balmy, hydrating, and stays on the lips overnight. I wake up with super soft lips. The ingredient list I posted below is pretty awesome considering the price. Another pro is the stick packaging rather than a nasty pot or squeeze tube.
Ingredient list:
Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (Castor Oil), Cera Alba (Beeswax), Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter (Cupuacu Butter), Raphanus Sativus Seed Extract (Radish Seed Extract), Flavor, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter (Murumuru Butter), Rhus Verniciflua Peel Cera, Rhus Succedanea Fruit Cera, Vaccinium Macrocarpon Seed Oil (Cranberry Seed Oil), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Palmitate), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Copernicia Cerifera Wax (Carnauba Wax), Avena Sativa Kernal Flour (Colloidal Oatmeal), Stevia Rebaudiana Extract (Stevia Extract), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower Seed Oil).
