I like Satsuma Shimmer Born Lippy from The Body Shop, but I wouldn’t buy another one. I got this only because its price was discounted $1.49 from $7. As much as I do like this, I was disappointed for the reason that it seems it is a cosmetic more than a lip moisturizer. I think the orange shimmer tiny was higher priority than the effectiveness of a product that’s supposed to moisturize & condition the lips. This does moisturize—briefly. It’s not long-lasting & I do, unfortunately, have to reapply it over & over again. It’s cute. It’s just not ‘$7 for alright ChapStick’ cute.
This is a cute lip balm in a pot that’s orange in color & sparkly/shimmery; the shade is definitely wearable though. It isn’t like literally applying orange lipstick. I have pigmented lips & it’s a tint. The color on my lips is really cute & it is one of those shades almost anyone can wear. I love that this smells true-to-life. It’s citrusy… orange/mandarin. This tastes tweet, too.
On a random note, I believe I have an old style of packaging because mine is shimmery, but fairly basic in regards to design & the newer is darker orange & features a mouth/lips. The newer packaging also contains a little less of it than the one I have. 0.29 oz. is lesser than 0.31. I know that is not a significant difference, but it just goes to show it was repackaged.

Smells just like Satsuma with a hint of sweetness. This one is probably my favourite out of all the flavours. It has such a great aroma and flavour – zesty and sweet.. it almost makes me salivate. It’s decently moisturizing and has nice fine gold shimmer particles in it that aren’t super noticeable but give off a nice sheen. I use this lip balm before I have kisses and I always get compliments. Best make-out balm for sure!

The Satsuma Shimmer flavour smells very sweet, like orange lollies. It contains shimmer, however the shimmer is not noticeable on the lips. It hydrates the lips nicely, and the scent is nice enough, however I much prefer the other Born Lippy flavours as this one smells and tastes a bit more chemically than the other flavours. I also wish these came in a stick rather than a tub, as I don’t particularly enjoy dipping my finger into the tub as it isn’t too convenient when applying on the go. It does make my lips feel nice and soft though and prevents them from chapping in windy or cold weather. I wouldn’t repurchase this particularly flavour, though I do like the Born Lippy range in general. I would recommend the Raspberry flavour rather than the Satsuma.

I’m really in the middle with this lip balm. There’s things some things I really like about it and some things I hate about it. Let’s start with what I like. It’s actually very moisturizing. It makes my lips feel really soft. The subtle shimmer and gloss appearance is nice. The packaging is cute and convenient, maybe not super sanitary though. It’s small enough to fit anywhere and it’s fairly inexpensive; especially if you get it on sale, and the body shop has sales all the time. What I don’t like is the weird chemical/plastic undertone to the scent and flavor. Don’t get this in your mouth. It’s got a really disgusting taste. It also doesn’t really last a long time on my lips. It wears off pretty quickly. I wouldn’t repurchase this because this balm didn’t really stand out to me. There’s thousands of balms and lip products so I shouldn’t have a problem finding one I like better.

I normally hate satsuma smelling stuff but I love this!!

I’m not a big fan of the scent, it smells a bit off to me and a tad overwhelming. Slightly citrus but not quite. For that reason it has lasted me a long time since I opened it. But making up my mind to use it so it won’t go to waste I am actually a little impressed with it. The smell still bothers me, but the fact is that it is quite moisturizing. Better than the dragon fruit one. It’s very pasty so it doesn’t feel oily and slippery, and doesn’t linger forever. It’s actually absorbed, which at least to me is a good feeling. It looks rather nice too, with it’s little shimmering touch. But the smell, oh the smell… the smell is the only reason why I wouldn’t buy it again. Being my first ‘born lippy’ balm I will probably try another scent, hopint it keeps the formula.

For myself I usually hate cirtus scents but this is the exception! I love the smell. The shimmer? Meh don’t care either way. Doesn’t hydrate the best but it isn’t drying.

I love this balm and seem to get it in the Autumn time when I start feeling festive. I love the smell, taste and sparkle. It looks lovely on my lips for a day time easy wearing hint of something nice. I’m about re buy one in the next couple of days.

Its quite an ok lip balm…I really like the fragrance but not fond of the shimmer. The golden shimmer looks yelllowish on my pigmented lips…quite wierd. It keeps my lips soft and moisturised for a while but then they feel dry after a couple of hrs. I wouldn’t buy this lip balm again tho I like other fragrances of TBS lip balm.

I hate the smell – too artificial smelling for me, reminds me of childrens cough syrup. The shimmer is kinda cheap and tacky looking. I do love the other scents I have tried but this one was awful. Obviously you are not supposed to eat it but when its on my lips the smell and ‘flavour’ are very off-putting and nasty.
