I don’t like how the other reviewers gave it such a low score based on the cap. I just got mine so the cap has yet to break but the product is WONDERFUL. It’s super moisturizing on the lips (feels just a like a balm should) and gives the perfect amount of color. I love that I can substitute this for my beloved Chapstick during the day and apply without looking in the mirror. The smell is the only thing I dislike–it’s smells very floral but disappears within 5-10 min.

I am on the fence if I will buy it again. The cap broke for me as well, like for the other reviewer. The color Sweet Iris suits warm skin tone. The texture is pretty moisturizing. The balm itself is an effective product – easy to glide on, no mirror needed to apply, pigmented. The packaging leaves much to be desired. Not only the cap broke all of a sudden, but the container is also super heavy. I’m not sure pairing a plastic cap with a heavy metallic base is a good idea. I cannot use the balm on the go because I have to be so careful with that broken cap.

Oh dear. This was a gift from someone I really love, and I did want to like it. The colour I received was Sweet Iris. Slimy, melty, sludgy and patchy, this came off in unappealing chunks and wore down to nearly nothing in a month and a half. The rose smell tipped the scale from beguiling to slightly nauseating. Cap cracked very soon after purchase. Maybe I’m a ’90’s dinosaur, but I miss that Origins mint gloss in the squeeze tube.
