I am a former woodwind musician, who had extremely bad callouses on my lips which would crack and bleed almost every day. After getting this product, my lips are full and almost undamaged. I can no longer see any scaring, and my lips rarely bleed anymore. This treatment has prevented my lips from getting further damage, and have returned my lips to normalcy, which I never expected any product could. I use this everyday.

Most people have no clue what this product is for. It’s is not a lip balm nor for chapped lips. It’s for the area around the lips and the upper lip (moustache area) it’s to treat the winkles. And. Smooth lip lines. I’m using it now and I like that it’s fragrance free and I like that it’s not oily. Good to use if you’re a smoker too as you most likely have lines on the upper lip.i don’t have lines around my mouth but I think I like it as my upper lip gets dryer in the winter.

I started using this when my mum had a tub years ago and loved how it deflaked my lips while making them super soft.
I stopped using it as she ran out and didnt think about it again until maybe a year ago when a SA used it on me and I remembered how it made my lips super soft.
i agree with another reviewer that the formula must have changed as it isnt as exfoliating as it used to be but it is still a great product that makes lips soft and easier to apply lipstick. The lippie goes on super easy and lasts that bit longer. it is a bit expensive but it lasts. Ive been using mine for a year now as you only need a tiny tiny amount.

Often the way a product (or anything else, like a movie, for example) is received depends on prior expectations. I was in Nordstrom’s trying to decide what to buy for Clinique’s twice yearly gwp bruhaha and pulled up the very mixed reviews of AAL on my phone. Given some of the negative reviews, I wasn’t expecting much, and maybe that’s why I ended up liking it. If I hadn’t read the negative reviews I might have expected miracles–something that would transform ordinary lips into those of Angelina or Scarlett— and I would’ve been sorely disappointed. This seems to be a “loathed by some and loved by others” beauty product, so I thought I’d give it a try on the chance that I’d be in the love category. The product is a lotion that comes in a very small pump bottle and has a thin, liquid like consistency. It appears white until rubbed in, at which time it becomes colorless and invisible with no trace of whiteness. It does not feel like a moisturizing product, which might be off putting for some because of its claims to “increase moisture retention”. (moisture retention is definitely different from moisturizing), so a lip balm is a must if you have dry lips, since this just helps lips keep moisture that’s already there.
At first, I thought this product was another fail; it didn’t appear to do anything. But later in the day, when I wasn’t thinking about it anymore, I noticed there was some subtle difference in the texture of my lips; they appeared a bit smoother and less flaky even before adding lip balm. I also noticed that my lip color went on a bit smoother. Now “subtle” is key here. It’s nothing dramatic, nothing to write home about, and may not even justify the $22.50 price tag for some. There are products that deliver more dramatic results in some way or another (balms for moisture, lip primers for lip product wear, glosses and lipsticks with optical diffusers etc.).
For me, personally, I like that this product is a one-stop multi tasker. I also like that it’s invisible on and doesn’t alter the color or texture of other lip products (slippery balms or thick primers can do this). I sometimes have trouble with drying and flaking, so I like that you can add a balm on top for added moisture.
The product also claims to protect from free radicals, but any significant long-term benefits like this are hard to substantiate. It’s said to have optical diffusers that minimize imperfections, but again, the smoothing effect I see is subtle and if I were looking for something more dramatic I probably would’ve been disappointed. Give this a try, and keep your receipt just in case!

After a month of using it, and no results , I cannot recommend it…the fine lines on my upper lip haven’t improved one iota..there are other lip treatments that work better. It is supposed to improve the longevity of the lipstick, I haven’t seen it at all!!!
So for me, it just didn’t work.

This is the best lip treatment/moisturiser I have found. You have to rub it in well into and around the lip area, but one pump covers it and it doesn’t take more than 10 seconds with no trace of whiteness left. It is the right balance between rich and light and used either once or twice a day lips feel moisturised, plump and gorgeous with absolutely no chapping. One tube lasts about 4 months so its better value than many chap sticks which need to be applied several times a day. UPDATE: unlike the other reviewer, having used this lip treatment every day for years now, my fine lines above my lips are much improved – I know because dark lipstick always ‘bled’ in the past. It helps that I’ve never smoked or been a sun worshipper though. Also, I ran out recently for about two weeks and didn’t even have my Caudalie lip balm to fall back on (another brilliant product which I use on lipstick-free days) and had to resort to another less expensive lip treatment and boy, were my lips dry! Worth every penny.

Product dispenses like a lotion which is convenient; however, it leaves a gross white residue on your lips. I’ve been using it at night, and haven’t noticed any major differences. I achieved the same results with much cheaper products like Vaseline & Burt’s Bees. Overall, wouldn’t purchase again.

The product was pretty good but not great and I found much better vickaryous naturals and way cheaper spf15. I dont even know if this is all natural or not? Happy but not overly so and when I found better for much cheaper I wouldnt buy it again based on that reason.

I like this. My lips are generally smooth rarely do they ever get rough but I use this anyway. I am a lipbalm addict (constantly using it). Before I go to bed or when I wake up to add a new lipstain or lipbalm on I always put my “All About Lips” on first. Putting it on right after a lipstain seems to work well too it evens out the color and makes my lips look smoother. I generally bought this to help get rid of the black spots on my bottum lip. For a while it seemed to be working but it seems to have come back and nothing seems to be changing it. Oh well. Putting this product on makes my lips moisturized without me worrying that I have no lipbalm on my lips! I really love it. So in a way, I use it as my lipbalm too. I know it is an exfoliator but it doesn’t really seem to exfoliate my lips. More like moisturize it and primes it. I use sugar lip scrub for exfoliating and it seems to work (toothbrush i heard works excellent). This product is expensive I paid over thirty dollars for it. But it seems to last I’ve had it for over 3 months and it doesn’t seem like it’s almost over. I use it about once or twice a day almost every day. It just really makes my lips feel healthy. I would buy it again but I wish my spots would disappear again.

I tried this after seeing the good reviews here. I’m surprised that it helped with other people’s dry and cracked lips, because it does the opposite for me, and seems to cause them to get even drier. Perhaps it’s a good lip primer for make-up, but as a balm I wouldn’t recommend it.
Update: I tried this again for a few days once my lips were in better condition, and so far I’m finding it is good for maintenance. That is, even though it wasn’t able to deal with the dryness in the first place (and actually seemed to make it worse), it does seem to be stopping it from returning.
