This color is SO pretty! I love it. It’s like a soft cool red, not electric or orange or bright. I use it with Nyx Matte in Merlot and it’s just perfect. I don’t know what else to say about this, because it’s just simple easy and cheap and pretty. But even as good as all the slim lip pencils are, this color tops my list as well.

I’m absolutely obsessed with most of NYX lip liners in the sharpen form. I love 813 plush red. It’s smooth, pigmented and does not dry my already dry lips out. This color matchs Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Bachelorettie Perfectly which is how I always wear this pencil. I will definitely be repurchasing.

NYX lip liners are great at any price. They have a great color selection, great color payoff, great lasting power and they aren’t extremely dry like other pencil liners. Despite feeling a little dry, these glide nicely and stay on the lips without pilling.

I apply a thin layer of lip balm, then a thin (or thick) layer of the lip pencil before deciding if I really need lipstick or can just go with lip gloss and go. Plush Red is the blue-toned magenta/red of NYX that goes with the Plush Red lip products as well as a lot of their blue-toned reds (Chaos being my favorite so far). It doesn’t feather by itself and doesn’t like to let the lipsticks feather, either. I used this with Clinique’s Ginger Flower (a more matte magenta-tinged red color) and it looked fine and worked well.
