A really surprisingly nice (be gentle when using it, though, it is very soft and creamy) lip liner. I have only used this in the shade “Salmon,” but it is so impressive, I plan on getting a couple other shades.
It’s funny how I “found” this lip liner. I had read about someone using this Palladio lip liner in the shade “Salmon” to wear with Maybelline’s Clay Crush lipstick. I don’t even know how or why or where I came across that blurb, but it just sort of stuck in my mind to try this lip liner the next time I was in Sally Beauty Supply (other places carry Palladio, Sally’s is just the closest place for me that carries Palladio). I will say, had I not read that comment, I never would have looked twice at these lip liners, much less the shade “Salmon,” as it looks to be very orange from the packaging.
BUT…this shade “Salmon” is surprisingly actually turning out to be very versatile for me. It does pair very nicely with Clay Crush, but lately I have been wearing it Urban Decay’s Insanity lipstick. I actually apply the lipstick and then put the liner over top of the Urban Decay lipstick. On it’s own, the Urban Decay lipstick can settle into my lip lines a little bit, but this Palladio Salmon lip liner seems to smooth it all out and just make the shade and the appearance look better, more even and smoother. For a pencil (that needs sharpening), this is really very creamy, glides right on, very smooth and very even. The cap is really easy to take off and put back on; it is secure enough to carry in the purse and not worry about the cap popping off easily. I will say, you need a light hand to use this. If you are heavy-handed, lighten up your pressure with this. It is very creamy and can break off easily if heavy-handed. But luckily it is pigmented enough that a light hand works well/is best in applying this.
Price-wise, these are great! These Palladio lip liners currently retail for around $6.00-$7.00USD, so it these are obviously a good bit more inexpensive in comparison to Urban Decay lip liners that currently retail for $20.00USD (which, I do love Urban Decay lips liners), and imo, this performs as well as the Urban Decay 24/7 lip liners. I have only experienced Salmon, but it is impressive enough that I want to try more shades (and yes, I realize Urban Decay has more shades, but to me, based on this shade Salmon, these are every bit as good as the Urban Decay liners). I feel like I am beating a dead horse mentioning Urban Decay so much, but that is what this lip liner really reminds me of, and I feel it is nice to compare it to something for comparison/review sakes; especially as I do not hear many/any people talk about the Palladio brand of makeup very often, much less their lip liners
(NOTE: This is not the herbal lip liner, this is a lip liner that needs sharpening. I did not see any reviews for this “Palladio Precision lip liner,” only for the twist-up herbal lip liners. Please combine this review if there are indeed other reviews for the Precision lip liner.)
