Auburn is my absolute favourite lipliner….ever!!! I wear it with all my reds and sometimes even mix it with more neutral toned colours. I once wore auburn just on its own, blended well into my lips and got a million compliments! Auburn will ‘always’ be a keeper in my makeup bag!!! Looks the best with paired with ‘spicy, warm’ reds (like chili)! I think this lipliner should be an essential for anyone who has rich-brunette or auburn hair and a warmer golden skintone – if this is you, run, don’t walk to get this lipliner!

I just bought this and I LOVE it! I have a hard time with reds to suit my very light olive face, and also the look I want to create that expresses who I am. Most reds look to bright and garish on me–not the look for me! The brown and orange in this creates just the right red for me, nice and dark. Oh, I should mention that I use this as a lipstick. I love matte lipsticks, and I found that many lip pencils work as perfect matte lipsticks. MAC’s lip pencils are great for this. Some lip pencils have a sheen to them, but MAC’s are pure matte. Also, it is a much cheaper alternative to NARS’s jumbo lip pencil, which is out of my budget.

I tried this for the first time yesterday when I went clubbing. It stayed put under my gloss for 5 hours of heavy sweating. It goes on very smoothly and is very easy to fill your lips with. The color is really pretty as well. A true auburn tone, like said below. Not too red, not too brown, just great. It looks sexy and classy on my NC30 skin tone.
