I have disappearing lips and a liner is a must. This is the absolute best I have ever used, at any price! I love it and will never be without it.

I’ve never been a fan of lip liner, The look of traced lips has never been cool, and it seems a needless step at the start of my day since it always seems to require reapplication throughout the day to all but the outline of my lips, as I put it over my entire lips. I’ve never found that it prolonged the wear of any of my lipsticks what with using straws a lot, cigarettes, & food. Then there’s sharpening, since the retractable ones tend to break.
Lipstick Queen made me love lip liner. It’s creamy and wears evenly, generally requiring reapplication once in six hours. I have several: wine, red, coral, natural, and nude; the names are simple and accurate. All have a blue shift except coral, which is a not too bright peachy pink (reminiscent of orgasm but matte & without shimmer), and nude, which is a truly neutral, brownish-pink. Natural is a beautiful dark brownish-pink with a mild blue shift, and layers beautifully under the Butterfly Ball collection, all of which have an iridescent blue shift without any glitter or sparkle, & Dior Addict (I love City LIghts, a brown with a silver & blue shift), which is another really expensive, elegant formula with the same wear time as the Saint lipstick versions.
It requires sharpening, and I’ve never had it crumble or break on me. I find that sharpening every 4-5 uses is enough and it’s not an issue on days I want to wear it. It’s $20, same as every prestige brand’s ballpark. Naturally, it fits in a pocket with a lipstick.
Additional opinions:
Wear time comparable to Urban Decay, but the colors are more elegant and grown up, as they are all simple mattes without flair. Not as long lasting as It Cosmetics lip stain lip liner, but that one is retractable and so dry the tip starts breaking as it dries from regular use/exposure to air.
Feathering: minimal, but because the formula is slightly creamy, color could wash into lines if there are a lot a dense wrinkles around the mouth, such as someone who is over 50 and has a lot of wrinkles from sun/tanning bed damage. Otherwise there isn’t any worth noting.
The price is reasonable to me for what it delivers. I was inspired to try a few mass cosmetic brands to compare, and none come close to giving me what I like about Lipstick Queen lip liners. If you’re wanting a new lip option that withstands trends or because money is burning in your pocket, check these out, and start with Nude or Natural since they go best under other lipsticks and glosses. Be advised they can quickly get you hooked on Lipstick Queen, which has some really expensive stuff.

This is my most utilized lip liner. Bare Nude is a nude with a hint of pink and microglitter. I use it every day to line and fill my lips then use either LipTar primer only on top, or Benefit sugarbomb lipgloss, or NARS orgasm lipgloss, or NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss, and most recently ULTA lipgloss in Spice. It is a great neutral lip liner.
I have also paired it with NARS mayflower lipstick, great combo.
